Very similar in art, humor, plot and everything goes around "nakama" 

Let's start: - similar artstyle: true it can be seen, and a simple motivation is that Hiro Mashima (Fairy Tail's author) and Eiichiro Oda (One Piece's author) are of the same generation who grown up admiring Akira Toriyama (Dragonball's author). Rumors are that their styles were so forged by their worshipping Toriyama; this of cours makes works of both of them share a similar, very cool art style and character design. - special powers: in a Jump's shonen manga those can't miss. Characters with awesome strong incredible powers are everywhere in both series. In One Piece we have devil fruits which give to their users incredible abilities, while in Fairy Tail we have mages which obviously do use their own magic spells/abilities. - action: another big part and genre that both series do share. - purposes: friendship is the main theme which makes an important bond between the main characters in both seasons. - heroic scenes: One Piece and Fairy Tail do share quite a lot of very awesome heroic scenes. - female characters: both authors wanted to give to their characters some strong power and/or personalities, differently from many other shonen series where the main female is just needed there to be saved and/or making comical scenes. Those, and many other, are the shared things by both series, but the above listed are surely the biggest points which deserved to be mentioned. So, indeed if you liked One Piece you could give a try to Fairy Tail, or viceversa. Although, while manga series have both a very good art style, when it comes to anime One Piece's animation quality is cured more.  

it's not just similar .. i'll say it's exactly the same .. the only difference between them is that one piece is about pirates and fairy tail is about magic ..

Same Art style , Same main characters , almost the same plot but fairy tail is with guilds and one piece is pirates. but personally fairy tail is a mistake and its so obvious that one piece is way way better

It's impossible to say that Fairy Tail isn't similar to One Piece... Main Character of both Shows are quite alike (powerful but kinda idiot). The whole Adventure-style plot of both anime's (manga's) are very similar. Quote by Pokymon: adventure + nakama + power ups..enjoy 

The drawing style of both anime looks very alike. The main character is a powerful yet a dumb and therefor a funny person. Both anime got the "Nakama" factor. 

One piece is about a boy name luffy who becomes and pirate and heads off to find one piece the great treasure and does whatever is necessary for his crew in the other wise. Fairy Tail, a guild for mages, we follow their story as they face any challenge and adversity. Each member of Fairy Tail will do whatever they can to protect what they cherish the most; their friends. A truly noble goal. Overall both of the animes are almost the same just with a few substitutions for there powers example  

Fairy Tail is very similar to One Piece because both main characters cherish their friends and believe in the concept of Nakama. Both mains would go to the ends of the earth for their Nakama.The comedy/humor aspect is also the same. The only real difference is that One Piece has Pirates and Fairy Tail has Mages.

Besides the other the 35 recommendations for this anime, the main reason why Fairy Tail lovers should try One Piece is because of the characters and the atmosphere. The two main protagonists (Natsu from Fairy Tail and Luffy from One pIece) are Comedic and Cheerful. The personality of one character mirrors the other character perfectly. The overall atmosphere of the animes are similar due to the art, music, sounds, and characters. In short: Every time I watch Fairy Tail, I always think about One Piece. 

First off, both are based on long shounen manga series, so they follow a bunch of story arcs in addition to the main goal. The artstyles are quite similar, with characters looking very lanky and lots of wild and colorful animations. Both also have a general theme of friends/teamwork/nakama, with the main teams of the series (Team Natsu for Fairy Tail, Strawhats for One Piece) always working with and fighting for eachother. 

It has the same kind of feeling when watching this anime. The character models and personalities are somewhat similar to the characters of One Piece. 

Meet Luffy's doppleganger. The story is great, it's all about bonds that grow between nakama, and is filled with hilarity, awesome epic win, and more. Trust me, if you liked One Piece, you'll like Fairy Tail. 

Both shows are based on friends and making your own family with those friends. Main characters of both shows continuously grow stronger to help their friends. The groups of friends from both shows are all a bunch of misfits who somehow all get along.  

Perhaps the most done rec in this new season, Fairy Tail and One Piece! The first and most obvious similarity, is STYLE. The character drawings, emotion-depicting faces, and character personalities are very similar to each other which is due to the fact that both creators went to the same art school! Luffy and Natsu are both clueless about what goes on around them, but both are overwhelming powerful when serious. Both storm the word "NAKAMA," and care deeply for their companions, close, if not closer, than family. The most common similarity are the eye-pop comedic faces. Whenever something very surprising or unexpected pops up, the characters' eyes will pop out of their heads. Storyline doesn't have much in common, but both are long-term (OP's longer however) and both are equally comical and epic.  

if you loved One Piece please try out Fairy Tail its has so many simularitys u may mistake it to be related to one peice in some way :P  

The concepts are nearly parallel to each other but one face remains the same One Piece is and always will be better. 

They both have a main group of characters, all with their weird quirks and personalities. Plus they both have awesome adventures, good action, an interesting story, and theyre both hilarious. 

They use the same recipe, and are both very well made, except that Fairy Tail is intended for a bit more mature audiences. 

First of all the styles of drawing they are in are pretty similar. Also some characters seem to act similar like they did in One Piece. For example, the Zoro - Sanji relationship is similar to the Natsu - Gray relationship in Fairy Tail. I really like it, so just watch it ;) Lots of funny jokes and characters :) Worth watching !! =^.^= 

THe main characters are similar in a way in their peronality, also the animation is very much alike. The whole atmosphere of the two anime and the genre are very much alike. 

Both a fantasy type anime except Fairy Tail is about guilds. One piece and Fairy Tail both have same art type and you may enjoy it.

Both of these shows revolve around the relationship of friends and your comrades. They both have lots of action to offer, while having great story lines and adventures. Basically, if you like one, you'll like the other. 

you can't get anymore shounen then these 2 they main characters are exactly alike, their both baka's to the extreme yet they somehow make everyone like them. they also has big plans when they were little and their trying to fulfill these dreams as we speak. their also trying to find "something" but what their looking for is different. also Nami = Lucy in almost every aspect except hair colour. their both the "straight woman" in their jokes. and chopper = Happy. cmon, their like mascots to each team. and you can't help but hug them at least once. and Robin = Erza because they both have horrible pasts and their super strong and well known. also the rivalry between natsu and grey are like zoro and sanji. competition in every aspect. and boa hancock = juvia because they both love a main character and they act the same way to their lover(?), they also think they have extreme love rivals. both have sword fighting, fist fighting, magical fighting, ect you name it.  

Same Art style, big boobed girls (Nami in One Piece, Lucy in Fiary Tail)l and an idiot main character with amazing powers and determination.  

Both have great action and great comedy..If you like one..there is no way you wouldn't like the other 

Fairy Tail, just like One Piece, presents the power of friendship and the will to never give up. The characters in both series are similar, while both shows emphasize comedy scenes. The main difference is the world these heroes live in. One Piece takes place in a world of pirates and treasures, Fairy Tail in a world of magic and monsters. I'd say Fairy Tail is another version of One Piece. 

the author for Fairy Tail did apprentice for Oda for quite some time. So there will be similarities between the two. Nami + Lucy Luffy + Natsu Ace + Gray

Action, Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, Magic, Shounen, Superpowers, Unique character, Unique story as well, Both anime has a good comedy scenes, Romance scene, Not like the others that are corny when they tell jokes, Natsu from Fairy Tail is really Similiar to Monkey D. Luffy, And the others as well, For the manga, Some of the both anime characters really look the same, Lucy and Nami has the same... err, What do you call that? But if you compare this two young ladies they really have similar right? I just can't explain it as hell as I am. It's almost the same story as for it, When I first think of Fairy Tail when I was not watching it still, I was thinking that the story was like One Piece, But then, Yes, It really was, Just the difference are One Piece main characters were pirates while the Fairy Tail ones are mages.  

Main character is honest but a little silly.. in a good way. All the characters evolve in quite a slow rate during both series so when they do evolve it's always like you've been hoping and waiting for it which makes it even more awesome. Love them both! 

Both the protagonists are looking for something while using powers that most other people don't have. They both value friendship very much, as is clearly seen in both animes. 

Both have the the same feel. Natsu is like Luffy. Erza resembles Nami in a way where she beats up Natsu. The way Gray and Natsu fight, however, is like Sanji and Zoro.

Other then their difference in goal , they are pretty similar to each other . How the story develops, the characters behave , adventures of course ( fairy tale less ) . Both Fairy Tail and One Piece are shounen animes and have a lot of similarities. The art quality may resemble one another(both authors have the art based off from dragon ball's author) and the way they draw the characters in both are really similar. As for as I've seen, people like Gildarts and Shanks, Rufus and Cavendish, and there's more out there where they look alike. The one major thing I think they have in common are that both are about a group of people who go through adventures fighting together and have a strong bond with one another. Also, theres a lot of emotional scenes based on what they go through as nakamas which can really get you all teary or even to the point you'll bawl. Based from my point of view, the things they do are completely different such as different goals for each character, but the storyline for both really resemble each other to the point some of the arcs are related. On top of that, really enjoy each and every one of the openings and endings they show for each new arcs that are airing. I think whether you like Fairy Tail or One Piece, you'll like the other since they have so much things in common. Definitely rate both of them 10/10!   

Both series involve the bonds of friendship, with One Piece having the relationships between the Strawhat crew while Fairy Tail involving the relationships between the Fairy Tail guild. Both have a vast amount of characters that have interesting and unique backgrounds and different environments for the characters to explore. Both main characters (Luffy and Natsu) are extremely similar as they have the ambition to protect their friends. Both series have a large amount of action and use of supernatural powers.

Both the main characters likes to sleep, eat and are pretty dumb, there is a time gap in both of these anime which means both of the main characters will become even more stronger. The only real difference is that One Piece is about pirates and Fairy Tail is about wizards and witches. BTW both of the main characters are pretty OP (Over Powered). Oh and Naruto is also the same as these 2 anime but Naruto is about ninjas. 

Both follow groups of close friends who go on adventures in ivast, in-depth worlds! They both will make your emotions swing wildly and get you attached to the characters  

Out of all the shounen anime there are, Fairy Tail is probably the most simmilar to One Piece. Both have some kind of powers (magic/devil fruit), caring for frends, fights as well as comedy. Main characters are very simmilar. Both are airheads with love for food, but can get very serious when their friends are in danger. 

One Piece and Fairy Tail are almost pretty much alike (my opinion). But I like Fairy Tail better though because the arc isn't that slow like One Piece's. - One arc of One Piece lasts about ONE year. An arc of Fairy Tail is about 3-4 months in average. - The goal of the pirates of One Piece is to travel trough the sea and to achieve One Piece treasure. Fairy Tail doesn't necessarily have a big goal, but they do sign up for 'works' to achieve money to make the guild better. But there is one main character who has a goal: his name is Natsu Dragneel The Dragonslayer and his objective is to find his father Igneel. There are also two other Dragonslayers who want to find their mother and father but their goal isn't on high priority as that of Natsu. - In One Piece the main characters are pirates and it goes about pirates. In Fairy Tail the main characters are mages and it goes about magic. - In One Piece, the most important style of it is explore the world and achieve One Piece. Therefor they must go through hardship like battles, adventures,etc... In Fairy Tail, the most important style of it is FRIENDSHIP. Thanks of that, the power of guild flows. There are many other guilds who are rivals against Fairy Tail (which is very awesome) and there are also many Dark Guilds. They are threats of Fairy Tail. Of course in One Piece, there is also the so-called 'nakamapower' but it isn't that remarkable as in Fairy Tail. - I find them both awesome, but like I said: I find Fairy Tail better than One Piece because of one thing: slow paced arc in One Piece. Those animes are very adventurous, funny and sometimes mysterious. There are many EPIC battles. You will meet different characters with different strengths, skills, and together they make a good team.   

If you enjoyed Fairy Tail you will sure love One Piece. Both have a strong main character that never gives up and has his goal in mind all the time . For the romance lovers I am sorry but there is not much love in this series.

Both are simple shounen manga that focus mostly on fights and humor, while adding some doses of ecchi. Both have characters that embark on adventures and encounter several enemies, while also making new friends. Both have similar art and animation, and teach similar ideals (such as the value of friendship). 

One Piece and Fairy Tail have similar characters. The characters have similar personalities. One Piece and Fairy Tail have action, comedy, and very little romance since they are Shounen Jump titles. Both shows can get intense and serious, but most of the time it is pure humor. Hope you enjoy! 

Chances are if you like Fairy Tail, you'll like One Piece. But if you like One Piece, you'll hate Fairy Tail because God know you can only be fan of one anime and One Piece is the best Shounen right? Sure Fairy Tail is flawed, but so is One Piece. So if you like flawed shounen anime give it a shot, the music is good. 

Almost Everything in FT and OP are same, including friends, humor, fights, characters. But the only difference is the theme of the story wich Fairy Tail including magicians invert One Piece including pirates though. Overall i think that both of them are the best shounen anime that i have ever seen.

Like, Naruto or Bleach. This anime is quite popular (in my opinion). Some characters are actually similar with one piece characters. Like Luffy and Natsu who are both main characters and both have the same personality (silly yet serious when they have to be), they both love their nakamas and think highly of them. The characters are not only the same thing, but there is also genre. They both contain adventure and comedy. It's the same "style" I should say. Both of them just makes you want to laugh out loud and just want to cheer them on during fights/battle scene. Also, they both have "series" should I say? or Arc. (in One Piece) They both contain lots of "chapters" and meet new friends along the way. I will definitely encourage you to try this one out!  

Very good old anime, beautiful line from the beginning to the end. The power of friendship and much more. 

Colourful, full of adventure and versatile characters anime that is similar to One Piece in many ways. Recommended for hardcore One Piece fans seeking for another fantasy realm to consume;) 

They re both great Shounen anime Fairy tail is more about wizards and OP is more about pirates 

I put off watching One Piece for so so SO long because I just didn't like the animation style. I'm sorry One Piece fans (IM ONE TOO NOW I LOVE THIS) but I just couldn't. I finally sucked it up and watched it. Sure, at the beginning it was ..... 5/10? But as you go on the animation gets better and the plot is AMAZING. I love One Piece so so much now. I'm stuck on episode 741 because I don't want to keep on watch because even THINKING bout waiting every week for it to come out is killing me :D Also, Luffy gave me the same vibes as Natsu. They are both INCREDIBLY stupid and love eating, but they care so much about their friends it's unreal. I love all the characters they make me want to ride with them and sail out into the ocean. It really is amazing what anime can do to you  

It's hard to like one series without liking the other. A cheerful cast of characters, most of which with supernatural abilities, going on adventures and defeating enemies through bonds with one another. Both have the power to make you laugh, make you cry, make you excited, and make you feel. My love for One Piece made loving Fairy Tail very easy! 

Natsu is Luffy, Gildarts is Shanks and many others lookalike characters, most arcs come down to the power of friendship and fighting for our friends and nothing else matters, alot of comedy and cool fights/powers, same vibes in doing Guild Missions in Fairy Tail and Pirates Traveling in One Piece  

Have you ever seen anime with the main character being an exact copy of another character from another anime? Well, this is your chance. As a bonus, whether you've seen One Piece or Fairy Tail first, you'll say "Hey, what is Shanks doing in Fairy Tail?" or "Hey, what is Gildartz doing in One Piece?". Prepare for an epic adventure because these two have lots of episodes and feelings, and they don't suffer from the Naruto-Filler syndrome. 

Funny moments. They have their own friends to protect. Action packed anime. The authors are student and teacher, I think.

The power of friendships is very prominent. Then, the main character for both have a similar personality. The fighting scene is very epic and about how to finish that fighting is so amazing. Ps : Many characters have a similar character design 

One Piece and Fairy Tail have a lot in common. Both are long running battle shōnen anime. Both anime have the same vibe, and the main protagonists in both series, Luffy and Natsu, have similar personalities. The art style is also very similar as well! The biggest differences are the story and the fact that One Piece is about pirates while Fairy Tail is about mages…but aside from that, they are very similar anime! 

If you like fun characters, hero's, pirates and wizards, fun adventures and the power of friendship ;) u should definitely give fairy tail a try! its in my opinion one of the most underrated big shonen! One piece is so similar to fairytail, but where fairy tail is more about guilds and wizards is one piece about pirates! and one piece is so good, if ur a fan of fairy tail or not u will definitely like it! 

Great adventures! Fantasy and action! They both have well-written characters that are both serious and humorous. Both plots have amazing character develoments and amazing arcs. You can see in both Fairy Tail and One Piece the characters going out of their way to help their friends, going on adventures and fighting in great battles for personal and greater reasons. Luffy is like Natsu, a little silly boy with big dreams who loves adventures and his friends. If you love Fairy Tail there is no way you won 't like One Piece.

Similar characters; if you have seen One Piece, you can pretty much tell that some characters have similar personalities as with Natsu=Luffy Loke=Sanji Gray=Zoro 2. timeskip; this also happens in the middle of each series where the characters have some change of appearance and become stronger 3. Lore; the lore of both series are very deep and mysterious 4. Friendship; both seem to have this close-bonded trait with each member, but in Fairy Tail, friendship makes them get powered up in fights, while in one piece, it's more strength and skill based  

Gon and Luffy have similar personalities. Characters all have their own fighting style that they work on through the series, as well as their own goals. They both go through several arcs where the protagonist grows little by little. Both are on-going shounens. 

Both have a young boy leaving home to explore the world and become the best in it, they both have dreams they would sacrifice their lives for, happy positive outlooks on every situation, a selection of nakama/friends who they would do anything to protect. Both have comedy, action, fighting, adventure, challenges, friendship and a feel good vibe. If you're a one piece fan i definitely recommend hunter x hunter, and vice versa. 

An ambitious and particularly strong young boy setting on a journey in a vast mysterious world, full of unexplored lands and strange creatures. There he meets friends and face various dangers and enemies in order to fulfill his dream. I would say that One Piece is more about adventure while HxH is more about battle. Maybe HxH is a bit darker too, and OP funnier, but both are great shows. 

Both anime are similar in the themes of adventure, comedy and friendship. The main characters are also similar in personality, with Luffy being more silly than Gon. There are also lots of interesting side characters and powers presented in both shows. 

The adventure,comedy and feelings are all the same. Fighting for the nakama's by putting your life in danger. Its a must watch if you loved One Piece. Everyone have different powers like in one piece there are devil fruits. I don't know how to recommend anime's but I'm sure you will love Hunter X Hunter if you loved One Piece.  

Gon and Luffy are very similar protagonists. They go on an adventure and make many friends along the way. The feeling of adventure that One Piece conveys is also found very often in Hunter x Hunter. Both shows have a vast world that draws you in and makes you want to learn more about it. Both shows can become much darker than a traditional shonen at some points. If you like One Piece, it's almost certain you will like Hunter x Hunter. 

Both series are long running (lots of episodes) series that center around action and fighting. The main characters are very good and the stories are very profound. Both characters have lost their families and are on a quest to become the strongest. They have to struggel and give their all to achieve this, wich is why the series is so amazing to watch as you can see them develop episode after episode. 

These are Jump's two greatest ongoing battle shonen. Both have massive worlds filled with numerous unique and like able characters. Both revolve around adventure and a charismatic MC that gains many allies along the way. If you are a fan of shonen (hell, if you are a fan of anime) then you should watch both of these. 

Both are shonen anime that each have their fair share of adventures and fights. Both series have hyper, dumb, and funny main characters that are very interesting. The art in both series is also done very well. 

While One Piece starts a lot slower than HxH (I'd recommend picking up at the Water 7 arc if you're impatient), and while its overall world and magic system is a lot more crazier and cartoony, it's definitely got the same sort of landmark effect on the heart, with tons of emotional moments, epic fights, characters that stay with you, and arcs that only get better and better as you go on.  

Both main characters (Luffy and Gon) are looking for something in particular and it is said at the beginning of the series. Side characters have somewhat similar goals. This can be seen mostly with Leori and Nami since they both want money. 

-Both shows (in my opinion) start off decent and get better and better to the point of awesomeness. -The concept of nen and haki are similar, plus both are introduced later on in the series. -They are your typical shounen anime where the protagonist protect his friends and get stronger. The best Battle Shounen already created. The best seller! Absolutely no one overcomes this One Piece. What enchants me most in this anime is a story that is exciting making you reach the point of tears. Its plot is perfect, everything connects, making their fans create several theories about the story. His universe is infinite, thus making it all happen or anything appear following its own logic. His pace is slow and it is one of the causes of many episodes, but worth every minute spent with this masterpiece. Another strong point is the comedy that will surely make you a good laugh. 

the main characters so much alike....luffy and gon they both are innocent and well their personality is extremely alike....they both are in a hunt while gon is looking for his dad,luffy is looking for the treasure,and there are awesome adventures...while luffy has a crew with their own goals in one piece,gon's friends also have their own seprate goals but somehow they get along... 

Gon, the main character, has some very strong similarities to Luffy when Luffy gets serious and the variety of powers and abilites of characters in this anime is similar to One Piece's devil fruit power variety. There are some AWESOME fights in this anime just like in One Piece and you will feel connected and cheer for the characters just like you do for the Straw Hat crew. Hunter x Hunter 2011 and One Piece are my two favorite anime. Please this anime is a great use of your time; it wont disappoint.  

After watching the masterpiece one piece the only other thing that gave me the same feel was no other than hunter x hunter. In both of the anime the protagonist is a reckless guy who goes out on a journey to gain something that they want. During the adventure both of the protagonists meet many different kinds of people and go through different experiences and learn from that. Both of the series are extremely enjoyable and are worth watching. 

Originating in shonen jump, and serialized practically a year apart, both mangas have been adapted into successful long running animes that have an excellent cast of characters, world building, and fantastic adventures. They both still have plenty of stories to tell in an ever expanding universe, while still keeping pretty consistent rules previously established, power levels, foreshadowing, never forgetting characters, and building off of the huge casts to create more amazing arcs. Most of the time, both shows are character driven. While both are shonen, both are so tonally different, yet they go in hand in hand with the way they blur the two sides of good and evil - Hunters being hunters, seeking out everything the world has to offer, and pirates, going against all odds to find what it truly means to be free. One Piece and Hunter x Hunter (2011) both are written differently, but in a way still have a lot in common. I guess the closest thing I can compare them to are Peanut & Butter haha. Anyways, give both of these stories a watch and even if they may not hook you quickly, stick with it and it'll be worth the wait. Don't skip arcs because a lot of tiny details said maybe even 50 or 100s of episodes ago usually turn up 200x more important in the long run.

Both anime create a huge world with many fantastic aspects from wild creatures/people to unusual places. Hunter x Hunter is shorter but has higher quality episodes whereas One Piece spreads itself over God knows how many more episodes but does not loose in telling a great adventure story. Both give you different emotions (joy, sadness, thrill, hope) overtime as you become part of the main crew. One Piece might be harder to start due to the number of episodes but every arc is worth it in the end. Enjoy Watching! :D  

If you are watching one piece you will really like hunter x hunter also. Both anime have incredible good characters voices and both have badazz old man that will make you cry of badass-ness xDD NETERO WHITEBEARD etc 

They are both about adventure and the main character is young boy who's a simpleton inspired by Akira Toriyama's legendary character Son Goku. The second main character is the cool one who's not afraid to kill. The reason as to why i like it more than One Piece is that people die in HxH, but don't get too hung up on that. 

Similar adventure style with lots of action, and mainly features around the protagonist (Gon in HXH and Luffy and his crew in One Piece). Like how Gon's goal was to become a Hunter etc, Luffy's goal is to become the pirate king, so they both have that similar sort of drive as characters. 

Both anime are shounen with super powers, fight scenes, friends and adventure. Both have funny and sad scenes. Both have a carefree and a little bit stupid protagonists. Both have badass characters and epic moments. 

Both really great animes that I love, if you like One Piece, you should definitely watch Hunter X Hunter. If you like Shounen, this is the way to go. Luffy and Gon have adventures and fun while still striving towards their goal- Pirate King and the best Hunter. Although they may seem to be fooling around, when push comes to shove they are great friends you'd definitely want watching your back. Both anime have great side characters and plots. I would totally watch Hunter X Hunter!

Lighthearted anime with exciting fighting arc's (beware of filler episodes - HxH has less fillers). Innocent and ambigious main character with badass friends, interesting side characters and a lot of plot twists. In search for something very important to them. Friendship is the key. (Adventure, Action, Fantasy, Superpower, Shounen). 

HunterxHunter is very similar in terms of what you like. I love both of these series even if they are shounen. They both can be really dark in certain moments, but overall these two are really good

Hunter x Hunter is an amazing shonen anime about a boy named Gon who leaves his home to take on one of the toughest jobs in the world, being a hunter. No, he's not hunting deer or rabbits, he's looking for his dad, whom he hasn't seen since he was a baby. On the way, he meets Leorio, Kurapika, and Killua, who help him on his journey. I've loved this show ever since I discovered it in 2014. It's got great animation, compelling characters, and great story arcs. If you like the first Hunter Exam arc, you'll probably like the rest. 

While this is super long running, it has the same adventure vibes as HxH. Although instead of hunters, the focus is on pirates. overall, if you're into long running adventures and love to binge watch, you'll be able to get caught up with One Piece in a cinch

The feeling of adventure are both prevalent in One Piece and Hunter x Hunter (2011). Both are based on manga published in Weekly Shōnen Jump, and are both long anime. Luffy and Gon have similar personalities. However, One Piece is more comedic than Hunter x Hunter (2011), which is more serious. Both are also some of the best long running battle shōnen anime out there, and fans of one are sure to like the other. 

One piece is like the light hearted version of hunter x hunter and is highly similar to the series in terms of plot. If you enjoyed one piece and are looking for a heavier adventure hxh is for you. While if you liked hxh and are looking for a more carefree adventure the one piece is for you. 

Both are top notch shounen anime. Usually we can see that whatever the genre of an anime is there is a bit romance in the story line. But Hunter X Hunter and One piece are anime where there is no specifically romance and both of the mc are adventure lovers. They work and struggle towards their goals. Like Luffy is a boy who wants to be a pirate king and Gon is a boy who wants to be a great hunter to know why his dad abandoned him for being a hunter. That's all. Both of the anime is quite good.

Similar deep themes and both have incredible antagonists. in my opinion, OP is one of only two shonen that comes close to being as good as hxh.(the other being FMAB) 

The main characters are trying to find something/someone or be something great and along the way they met some friends/comrades. 

The emotions in both anime hit close to the heart in a way I have yet to see in other battle shonen to the degree of talent that they are down in either of these two animes. The depth of worldbuilding in One Piece is a step above the greatness that exists in Hunter x Hunter, so there's a bonus in that regard. If you enjoyed the sense of family that exists in HxH between characters like Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and all the other loveable characters, you get that same attachment with fellow Straw Hat recruits and even what appears as minor side characters at first still manage to get you caring about them. The action in HxH is great and honestly hard to beat, but that's not to say One Piece doesn't have its fair share of action, while not on par with HxH, they are still a treat to watch and have gotten better as the anime progressed.   

Both contents are based on the aim of the main characters. One of them wants to see his father and other one wants to be Pirate King and both characters have strong determination to reach their aim. I'm sure that all spectators will admire their both determination. Also main characters are good-hearted, cheerful and childish for each animes. Moreover, side characters also well thought and varied for both of them. Some pieces of their lives of the side characters are being shared in both animes, with this way you might connect to the frames of mind of the almost all characters with pleasure.The only bad thing of Hunter X Hunter which is release date. New episodes are being added slow.

One Piece has always been great when it comes to a good challenge—especially a good fight! Another show that certainly has this element is Hunter x Hunter. To be a hunter is a huge privilege and you need to take the Hunter Exam in order to pass. The only catch? There's an extremely low success rate and it's pretty dangerous. Gon Freecss is out to become a Hunter so he can find his missing father. 

If you liked the great story, fights, and worldbuilding, this is your anime for you to spend the rest of your life watching

I Enjoyed HxH alot because of its unique power system and its complexity and i think its similar to one piece in this aspect as both one piece and HxH have Amazing charecters and charecter development, Insane storyline, very cool villians And they in my opinion are the most unique out of all the anime i have watched. Both HxH and One Piece are 10/10 and im yet to change my opinion and dont think i ever will have to 

With the main characters wanting to become the best at what they do and wanting to protect those that are precious to them. Wanting to achieve their dreams, they become more powerful and meeting more friends along the way too. (its pretty similar aside from the famous Naruto filler)

The mood of the series is pretty similar and the goal of the main characters is to be the best in their league. That's what I noticed when I completed Naruto and began with One Piece. If you liked Naruto you might like One Piece even better.  

Two people that have their own goals and dreams. The main characters for both show are very similar. They are very clumsy, lazy, and funny, but when it comes down to protecting their friends from danger, they get serious. Both is filled with excitement, action, adventure, comedy, and fantasy.  

I really like onepiece because it tells the classic story of the hero archetype, i like the refreshing way in which the story is told and the way the crew overcome obstacles, i would rank naruto and onepiece joint first in my favourite animé due to the hilarious humour and invigorating take on a well known character archetype. 

Shonen anime. About a young hero who wants to become the best. Similar messages about friendship and determination to reach your goals. Characters fight using their super powers to defete evil villians who stand in thier way.  

Both have main characters that act pretty dumb/stupid. And both act without thinking and do unexpected things. Also both main characters are willing to risk their lives for their friends.  

If you can replace Pirates with Ninjas and vice versa, Naruto and One Piece are a lot alike with the exception of art. Naruto=Luffy (Both pretty slow and oblivious to a lot of things, but pretty badass at fighting and can be brilliant in combat), Hokage=Pirate King (Both main characters strive to be the best in the world and their dream is often looked down upon or acknowledged by various people). Both series are very humorous, deal with characteristics of friendship/teamwork and have intense fighting. 

These are both huge battle anime, where the main characters both have a huge goal, Luffy wants to find One Piece and become the Pirate King, and Naruto wants to become the best Hokage ever. Also, at the beginning of the series, Naruto and Luffy are very alike, causing mischief as they go along. Even though Luffy hasn't changed that much over all these years, Naruto has matured way more and has become more serious, now that the series is nearing it's climax. 

In both anime protagonists continue to go on a life with the dream which was defined in their childhood. And which has strongly changed their life. It helps them to meet new friends and as to overcome the difficulties arising on their way. In both anime the main character has the promise, given to the friend, and as" likes to eat ". xD In both anime very interesting abilities of heroes, their characters, charisma. And as the important place is borrowed with friendship and fidelity. At both anime as there is a lot of humour, the cat well dilutes many heavy situations occuring during adventures of characters. So despite of all duration of anime to look them it is a pleasure.  

Shounen, action, adventure manga, both with a main character who wants to fulfill their dreams. Both of them have many special combat elements and a similiar story line as getting new friends, win against enemys, some drama sequence etc. All in all I find that One Piece stands more out, but give Naruto a try!  

Luffy is very similiar to Naruto. They´re both really childish characters with the biggest dream in mind. Even though they act like an idiot most of the time (not a bad thing), when their friends are in danger they give all they have to save them. There is in both an ero-dude. And there are people who were villains but eventually become nakama. 

Both are awsome shounen series,has pretty much the same premise.The idiot main character then gets serious when it's needed,comedy,action,and characters you just hate to not love -__-.One Piece is not very story driven at all but is very enjoyable,while Naruto has a developing plot after the first 13 or so episode.If you liked anyone of these check out the other you'll love it. 

Both protagonists have an ultimate similar goal they want to achieve. Fighting lots of enemies along the way and many great adventures. Humor and action are prominent in both series. If you like one you'll like the other. 

Both have a main character that gets stronger throughout the story. Both main characters are sort of idiots. Both main characters fight to protect their comrades. There is a lot of comedy, and the fighting scenes revolve around honor and doing the right thing. One piece is about pirates, and Naruto is about ninjas. They are both extremely long running, and they are both "gateway" anime. If you love one, then you typically will love the other one in my experience. Both are unique in a lot of ways, and both are heavily inspired by Dragon Ball. 

First of all, I started to watch both anime because of their first endings. Naruto ending is incredibly true&sad at the same time, even if - at the first sight - the story doeasn't look very smart it's deeper then you think - just watch first two seasons! One Piece first ending I also liked because of the song (it's catchy). On the other hand it's easier to start watching One piece than Naruto, because like I said before, Naruto's story at the beginning looks pretty dumb. Much dumber than One Piece's ;D BUT I like both these anime :) (much more Naruto <3)

Both series are long running (lots of episodes) series that center around action and fighting. The main characters are very good and the stories are very profound. Both characters don't have their parents with them anymore. They want to become stronger . The reason i just can't stop watching these series is because you can see the characters become stronger and stronger episode after episode. 

Kind of common sense really.Along with a few other anime Naruto and One piece would be considered 2 of the 5 kings of long running anime. And by long running i mean 100 or so episodes. Anyway both anime are very similar in characters however luffy is strong but stubborn however Naruto acts dumb but when in tough situations he is quite the tactician. I'm one of those people who never really liked anime's such as death note. So yeah, it should be easy to fall in love with both anime. I will sow this however, both anime have a story which i would consider unique and leave others in the dust. Naruto may seem boring to others however it's watchable in my opinion. Where as one piece is always a laugh.

Similar in the aspect of the protagonist being a character who is weak and is gifted with power which allows him to be better and struggles to master his power and overcome the odds. Main Character being being a person who is both acting like a fool and has good plans in a while. 

both stories are full of heroes, heroines, villains with superhuman physical abilities, ridiculous training, fictional races and creatures, supernatural powers, and something like "chi". Both stories have a strong male lead as center character of the whole stories. Naruto and Luffy. you can see extraordinary battles that involve from fistfight to melee combat. from conjuring destructive elements to manipulating nature. 

Overall vibe is similar to one piece, as expected from 2 of the big 3 shows. 

I really like these two shows because they have accompanied my childhood. Something similar for this anime is the main character's motivation. They have big dreams for their lives. also they are very committed to protecting their friends from harm. In addition, the plot formulas for both are the same. Then, some characters have similar strenghts.

well, one piece is very similar to naruto (lmao no) they are both shonen animes. but one piece is wayyy better. it might be a bit longer, yes, but they watching experience is more satisfying. i think the only aspect where naruto is better than one piece is that naruto+naruto shippuden have better songs. 

In both series, the protagonist is trying to become something. In Naruto, Uzumaki Naruto wants to become Hokage while in One Piece, Monkey D Luffy wants to become the Pirate King. Both series are very long, the character development is good, while the plot is more better and more enjoyable for One Piece. 

Fighting,both want to become the highest rank of their passsion. 

Both are long animes, so if you watched Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, you won't care about watching too many episodes of One Piece. I firstly watched Naruto and thought I wouldn't find something similar or even better, then, I started One Piece and i saw it's even better than Naruto. Both are my favourite animes now. 

If you love shounen characters that love being absolutely ridiculous and yet strangely likable, Naruto is another classic you could start watching today with plenty of content! A horrific beast, named the Nine-Tails, is sealed inside the body of a young boy named Naruto. His ambitions to be a great ninja, and even the Hokage of his village, will not waver despite how much he's looked down upon. Much like Luffy, he's loud, ridiculous, and he never gives up.

If you are looking for fighting anime with good story development, good character development, and to get you laughing this is it. Both Naruto and One piece have this in common. But in my opinion, One piece suppresses Naruto in character and story development by a lot. In the end, they are both godly when it comes to fighting. Don't be a pussy and say 'oh it's too long get your ass on One piece cuz it's going to be your favorite anime.  

Both follow their titular protagonist to achieve a certain goal, in Naruto's case to become Hokage, and in Luffy's, King of the Pirates. As being part of the big three both should be recommended to new anime watchers.

Sure... there's a large difference, but both are on the masterpiece level both are very comedic and there is action in both animes . Do know that the first Episodes might be slow or average for many people. So it could be for you as well. But it will improve a lot afterwards.  

The humor in both of these anime is amazing. Main characters are both easy-going, but very serious when they need to be. Both shows have a great variety of interesting characters with different powers. Villains are very developed and some make a return later in the series. 

If you are a fan of long series that just gets better over time or want to get into one these are the series for you. These series start with a small cast that gets bigger over time and become lovable, they both have amazing and well-writen backstories that further develop characters the messages and themes are relatable and parallel real life and history and can be life-changing, cool fights and hype moments that give goosebumps, and many things get connected story-wise, also hits your feels many times so be prepared to shed some tears. Some of the best comedy you will come across as Gintama parodies many series and some situations that they end up in are just ridiculous.   

Its long, funny, has a well thought out cast, although nothing can really be similar to one piece, this is another good and long show that you can watch without having any boredom, lots of good fights, comedy and hype surrounding the anime. 

Has good action and a large yet unique cast of characters. These anime's also share a similar balance of action/story/comedy. 

One Piece and Gintama both have dynamic character development. Gintama has a sense of adventure which is similar to that of One Piece. One Piece and Gintama both managed to make me emotional at many points while watching the series and they have fantastic themes. They're both satisfying shows for its viewers.

If you liked Gintama, you might like One Piece as well. Both of them are long running shounen animes that will keep you entertained. Both of them have a funny protagonist and group. The difference between this 2 animes is that One Piece has more serious moments. 

Now I watched Gintama first but because of Gintama I decided to check out One Piece this year and so should you *cough.. (read the digital colored version of the manga) because it has obviously better pacing and stunning visuals. One piece has humor so does gintama The whole aspect of nakama and crewmates ride and die for your family which is always welcomed The world building and how everyone some how is connected is sick I love this aspect with both shows bringing characters back from the past. Gintama is over however, I haven't seen The Final movie YET but even without seeing it I'm over here crying over trailers since I love this series sooo much and One Piece as well any time soon in 5 yrs possibly ending which already thinking about is sad but I expect a world shattering war with every person they met will unite to fight with Luffy which is what we are already seeing with Gintama so watch Gintama and read Digital colored One piece manga it's amazing don't cheat yourself out of masterpieces they're both long but classics.

Gintama and One Piece have one main thing in common. Humour. To be precise, awkward humour. While Gintama is filled with way more comedy and One Piece is filled with more story and action, one can also find a second similarity between these two anime which is that both of them give you a lot of hints about things that are going to happen in the future and also glimpses into the past and revealing the truth slowly. Both of them are masterpieces and every anime fan should watch these two anime within their lifetime. TWO ABSOLUTELY REVOLUTIONARY ANIME. (oh also Gintama has very funny parody episodes of anime including one piece hehe)

- If you caught up with One Piece around Wano Arc, then Gintama is probably your best choice if you can't think of anything to watch after because One Piece is <33 - I said that since Gintama's theme is just like Wano. They're in a samurai-like country setting, and you'll be familiar with how all of this works already since Wano already introduced them. - Gintama's comedy is just top-notch lmao just like.. pre-time skip OP ig.. haha - Zoro and Cavendish have the same VA with h and k here. Guess when you watch especially Cabbage's one ;D 

Although both series are shounen and have a lot of fighting, both have also tons of adventuring through the world, meeting new people and places and both have a lot of comedy.  

There is many similaries of Dragon Ball and One Piece. For example main characters are still eating something. Next is for example same style of humour, same style of battles, very similar animation, music... They're both very liked and well-known I recommend both of them 

Dragon Ball's directely or indirectly influenced many different series over the year, but what stands out regarding One Piece? Well, One Piece is often referred to by Western Fans as the big three and is only one of those three for the original Manga on which the Anime is based on to be continuing at the point of me making this recomendation. On top of this, Dragon Ball also plays an influence on the wacky humor found on One Piece, although the creator of One Piece definitely took the elements which are similar to Dragon Ball and made them his own. 

Funny enemies, funny fights, a lot of comedy and world travels with a group. One Piece, Dragon Ball, both are similar, of course, One Piece is inspired on Dragon Ball, Eichiro Oda is a big fan of Akira Toriyama and a big fan of your major work, dragon ball. You Find many Dragon Ball's references in One piece. If you liked One Piece, watch dragon ball. You liked Dragon Ball, watch One Piece. 

Both are great and fast-moving shonens about a goofy kid who has a beastly amount of fighting power (as well as superpowers... kind of) that adventures around and makes friends and all of that typical stuff, as well as having a lot of humor and packing in a lot of fights. 

Story wise these series are completely different. The main reason they are similar is due to the characterization and humor. The main characters of both are especially similar because, personality wise, Luffy and Goku are almost completely in sync. They both have a naive charm about them, they both think about food even at the oddest times, and they both go after what they think is right. Luffy is a bit more stubborn, but if you enjoyed either one of these series because of the main character you'll likely enjoy the other.

Dragonball (just the original NOT Z, GT, or Kai. Although Dragon Ball Z is also good like One Pieace, not as good) is similar to OP in so many ways. The main character personality is very similar, the importance of all of the characters (whether they be minor or main characters), the attachment to all of the characters, the good voices and voice acting (in japanese), the good background music that is fit to every detail when it is played, the complicated storyline where everything ties together so well and everything makes sense together, and even the way that OP doesn't have a common drawing style, neither does DB (not that they're the same style or anything). All of these are in both anime, (and some in DBZ too), although I still personally like DB more than OP ^_^ .

One Piece is more focused at character development and background, while Dragonball lacks in this the humor and action makes up for it. It's not often that i laugh while watching something but i did quite a bit of it during these shows, if you like the humor of one you'll probably like the other aswell.

Though, in One Piece, the mystery of their world is part of the main storyline, and in Dragon Ball, the origin of Goku is more of the mystery. Both move at a faster pace than, say, Dragon Ball Z, or, buh, Naruto. Vibrant and colorful animation in both. Consistent mix of comedy and dramatic action.

Give classic dragon ball a chance. don't be prejudiced, it's a great anime despite his dubious sequels. A very fun adventure similar to the first OP arcs. A lot of humor, action and adventure. And it is still a classic that inspired the whole industry including and a lot of OP, so it is a work with historical importance for all the entertainment. But above all of this it is an extremely fun watch.

If you liked one piece then you definitely like Toriko too only differences is that the Toriko is bishokuya which want to collect all food recipes but in One Piece the crew is looking treasure called One Piece. And Toriko has an own so called group like One Piece has a Pirate Crew. Both of these anime have an Adventure's and humor too. 

Imo if you like One Piece you will most certainly like Toriko just the environment and the feel of the characters are very similar so most people probably won't be disappointed with Toriko

It provides a backstory with detailed information on essentially every character that's introduced into the story. Not many anime today continue to provide a backstory on everything that's happening in it's own universe, so when a new anime does this...I instantly find it very appealing to me.

Black clover feels like it is inspired from one piece and it works very well. If you like one piece you will must likely also like black clover 

I am a big fan both of these series (One Piece And Black Clover) and both share same similarities like: 1. The main protagonist have a certain goal 2. It is all about Friendship and Rivalries 3. They have the same Shounen genre 4. Both have Interesting Story Line and good World-building.

It is one of the best anime out at the time typing this out. They have good fights and a good and thick plot everything that will satisfy the average one piece fan. 

in both animes there are a lot of amazing characters with good stories. But One Piece is more focused on adventure than Black Clover which is focused on magic. I liked the first episodes of the two animes, but they're not as good as the next ones.

good world building, great characters and loveable crew. plot is interesting, albeit includes a lot of typical shonen tropes.  

In both anime, main characters have similar ways of doing things. These ways are : pushing it to the end, never giving up or losing determination, having a dream to achieve that everyone else laughs or hardly believes. Another similarity about them is a strange charm makes other people know them, respect them or even follow them 

Both have a main character that gets stronger throughout the story. Both main characters are sort of idiots. Both main characters fight to protect their comrades. There is a lot of comedy, and the fighting scenes revolve around honor and doing the right thing. One piece is about pirates, and Naruto is about ninjas. Shippuuden is the continuation of the series Naruto, and it takes place after a 2-3 year time skip. One piece also has a time skip but way later in the series. One Piece wasn't split into a second series like Naruto. They are both extremely long running, and they are both "gateway" anime. If you love one, then you typically will love the other one in my experience. Both are unique in a lot of ways, and both are heavily inspired by Dragon Ball.  

 

Do you wish that the characters in Naruto could be better fleshed out and more interesting? Are the fights not varied enough for you? If so you'll love One Piece. There are nine main characters that have each been fully fleshed out and have unique and powerful backstories. Every fight is unique because of the existence of devil fruits which grant the user rare powers that only they posses. You will fall in love with the characters. I have yet to run into a boring episode and there are over 560 episodes now. Just make sure to skip a few fillers but thats all pretty standard for a Shounen Anime. I like this show better than Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Give it a shot; you'll come to love the cartoony art style. The storyline is excellent.  

I started watching one piece not so long ago, and as soon as I saw the first episode it reminded me so much of Naruto Shippuuden. Both main characters are special. They are funny, strong, and go after for what they believe in. The series intrigues you to keep watching more episodes. Some episodes will make you get a tissue and some will make you stop breathing of laughter. Now, lets talk about action! These fighting scenes and supernatural powers such as devil fruit or just nine tails make the fighting scenes so interesting. Personally, both of this series are my favorites, they're just so alike.   

Both series involve the bonds of friendship, with One Piece involving the relationships between the Strawhat crew while Naruto involving the bonds between the different ninjas of the Hidden Leaf village. Both have a vast amount of characters that have interesting and unique backgrounds and different environments for the characters to explore. Both main characters (Luffy and Naruto) are extremely similar as they have the ambition to protect their friends. Also, both protagonists have the ambition to rise to the very top with Luffy desiring to become the Pirate King and Naruto desiring to become the Hokage. Both series have a large amount of action and use of supernatural powers.

They are long on going series with many fans within the anime community, i mean seriously every person who has either watched naruto or one piece at least knows of the others existence. Both have stupid main characters which grows more mature during the series. Both main protagonist have a ridiculous dream which is very unlikely to achieve. Both series have a two year time skip where the main protagonist goes of training with there mentor's in Luffy's case it's Rayleigh and in Naruto's case it's Jiraiya. Both anime are action shounen. 

Both are great shounen and also they are 2 of the big 3 so no surprise if you like shounen you will love these. 

I will say One piece and Naruto have bunch of common things. Why not, they both are the member of BIG 3. One piece is a story where a pirate Monkey D Luffy wants to become Pirate King Naruto is an anime where a ninja Naruto wants to become Hokage. The story building, character development, world expanding everything is totally top-notch. Both of this anime is totally freaking good. I will personally say One piece is better than Naruto though an unsolved quarrel goes-"One piece VS Naruto"

Long running series like One Piece. The main characters have typical characteristics, fun and yet intuitive. You will definitely enjoy this anime 

Both are popular manga that run in the same magazine. They have similar styles and a wide cast of characters. They also have plenty of action and a darker side to the adventure. 

The way that main charcter are not botherin you (like Naruto forex) and the respect that you feal towards Gon, Killua, Hisoka and others in this great anime is somewhat similar to One Piece series 

Both main characters are tremendously similar. Both stubborn, with hidden strong sides, happy-go-lucky attitudes and they are really single minded. While Luffy goes for the title of Pirate king Gon chases the title of Hunter, with friends that will follow them through the deepest and most dangerous adventures.  

Super engaging/amusing/touching Epic Quest fantasy with a ton of awesome characters. 

One of the easiest recommendations ever. Hunter x Hunter and One Piece deliver top notch emotion and character development, that it's just hard to even avoid them. Any shounen fan should have seen these two animes, because they're bound to love them.  

Both are about adventures and fights and magical things, HxH is more mature and also way more violent though, it also avoids all the cliche moments seen in most shonen making it more original. I recommend watching the 2011 version for now

Similarities: -Male lead who wants to become great. -Many characters have special powers. (Quirks in Boku no Hero, Devil's Fruit Abilities in One Piece) -Not too childish but not too adult. -Beautiful art. -Very fun. 

Anime with characters who have supernatural abilities are among some of the best, and One Piece & My Hero Academia are both great about giving us characters with out of the box powers we would never expect! Each show is filled with intense battles of characters using these super natural abilities, in a world where they're told from the start is too big for them to make a difference. If you like one, you're sure to like the other!

Journey to number one. My Hero Academia and One Piece both feature MCs who pursue their dreams to become the highest. MHA uses Midoriya who wishes to become the no. 1 hero, as his role model All Might is. One Piece has Luffy in his journey to find the One Piece and become king of pirates. Both are great and equal in action, comedy, with One Piece being the more dramatic anime. 

Both animes have a huge variety of powers Both have charismatics ppl and a variety of personality to choose wich you like the most Both have a good humor Both get serious when it needs to be. 

It has the Same concept heros vs villains and they both are in a world where you can get superpowers. 

A shounen anime about young kids training to be superheroes should already draw you in, but if you'd like a show that admires determination to be the best, My Hero Academia might just be for you. Young Izuku Midoriya seems to have been born with no quirk, super powers of his own and yet, he is determined to be the greatest hero out there!  

Maybe this is different from One Piece But there is a point why I recommend MHA 1).Deku's Struggle (MC) For fans of Shounen Anime, of course we really like the development of the main character to become stronger 2).Friends Deku's struggle is not alone, he is fighting together with his classmates 3).Rivalry Deku also has rivals and this is also one of the reasons why Deku really wants to become strong 4). People who are admired Deku admires the number 1 hero in his country 5).Strength Although the way to get power in these 2 anime is different but the concept of Quirk powers with Devil Fruits is almost the same What's different is that in MHA the power is usually inherited from heredity and in One Piece the power is obtained after eating a devil fruit and in MHA almost everyone has powers, only a handful of people don't have quirks 6).Character design You know the character designs in One Piece, right? There are many strange characters in the One Piece world, as well as this MHA, which is almost the same and makes me laugh HAHAHA but maybe in MHA the characters are still better than in One Piece HAHAHA and a little extra: Deku (Izuku Midoriya), a character inspired by One Piece, namely Coby Yes, we know Coby's struggle to become strong This was said directly by the MHA mangaka, Kohei Horikoshi -------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- Almost the same as Luffy, he always gets stronger with each arc Luffy also struggles with his shipmates Luffy of course has rivalries, such as with KID, LAW Luffy also has a dream to become the strongest in the sea like GOL D. Action --- if it is what you are looking for than look no other than ONE PIECE.... This anime series is not only similar to Bleach but in fact I think even more than you wanted... The Comedy, Drama, Action, Adventure, Surprise, Stupidy, Excitement, Tearful, and sooo oooo oooo much more to your expectation..... As Bleach goes to the other world where spirits lies, One piece sails to many Unique and unbelievable islands that's full of surprise ..... Go for One piece, It is A hell of an adventure... 

Similar type of humour and action, good-only-for-fight-but-a-very-good-guy main char. 

Both shows are about fighting, and the desire/need to become the strongest. The fight scenes are well done, and a bit drawn out in both shows. However, if the length of a fight in either show doesn't bother you, then you will like the other. There is also a fair amount of humor to both shows. The main characters in both shows are funny and likable. Also, in both shows there is great comedy relief chacters (kon and usopp). A thing to note is that one piece starts very slowly, but if you give it time it will get you hooked. Also, even though it is at 364 episodes, one piece, according to the creator, has been completely planned out, all the way to the ending, so there is an ending plan, they aren't just making stuff up to keep the show going. I only say that because many people find that with long animes they get redundant.  

Like One Piece Bleach contains lots and lots of awesome action. Most of the time it's like.. nonstop action. Humor is a part of the anime too, just like in One Piece. Both of them are ongoing series, and the animation of Bleach just kicks ass (at the current episodes, 200 and 450+). The story's done great and the characters are amazing, the development of the story and characters are done great too. 

One Piece and Bleach are both shounen anime's, have a lot of episodes (and are still airing). They both contain adventure, action and comedy. One piece is less serious, has more comedy and therefore bleach is the more serious type of those two. Bleach plays somewhere around the presence while One Piece is completely mixed. I'd say it's a few years back but they already got bazooka's for example. Also here again, less serious. Both the main characters have a special power. Ichigo (Bleach) is a Shinigami and Luffy (One Piece) is a Rubber Man. 

Both of these anime we're talking about fighting and both are like adventures. They sure like together. Both of the protagonist looks funny, but when they fight, they are actually strong, I suggest this one, both of this anime we're popular, so good. 

Both best mainstream anime 

Both series are long running (lots of episodes) series that center around action and fighting. The main characters are very good and the stories are very profound. The powers of the characters are amazing and will make you want the next episode just to see what epic battles will come next. 

One thing that really popped out of One Piece was hugely intense and epic fights with sad background. What anime would have fights like One Piece? Bleach has it. Bleach also has similarities in supernatural powers and sense of humour. The one who loves One Piece loves Bleach as well as other Shounen animes although One Piece is best and Bleach second. 

If you're a big fan of Zoro because of his sword fighting skills, you might actually want to watch Bleach. This is mainly because both shows have a grumpy character that carries around a unique sword, or swords, and holds mass amounts of power. Ichigo Kurosaki finds himself being a substitute reaper for Rukia Kuchiki; an injured reaper who cannot continue her duties. Ichigo is not your average hero, but we find him saving the day—even if it is a little begrudgingly.  

It has a mc who wants to protect his friends and goes through trial and error to get stronger and defeats opponents with his own power. 

The same kind of quirky humour for both, the same kind of brilliantly simple yet very well done animation. Both have unique characters, which combine to make a cleverly-thought-out storyline which is told in a similar fashion. Both great watches 

They both have some what unique and abstract fight scenes. Although one piece character design improves overtime so if you start watching one piece I would say watch one of the latest episodes first so you know what to look forward to XD 

Comedy comes first for those who enjoy their laughs before anything else like me. Similar style of presentation with a lot of similarities. Soul eater looks like a simple comedy at first but like one piece drama and action can get pretty intense at times.  

The comedy is very similar. And both anime have intense fight scenes, great music, brilliant humour and sad moments...just in the right places. I for one love both :D 

Both anime have a really really great story, and unique characters.. Special fight scenes in both anime, and always a 'funny' side. Awesome char design (even if the style is different) for both series. One Piece and Soul Eater have both the friendship priority for their story. Those 2 anime are the best i ever found :3 

Both are fighting shounens with a lot of comedy, much surrealism, non-sense powers and crazy attacks, like gomu gomu rocket, death cannon, etc. 

I recommend One Piece as I would recommend the Dragon Ball Series. That is I would say it is a great beginner's anime. It has funny stuff all the way through its long number of episodes. It then begins to evolve somewhere in the 100's episodes and becomes fantastic with even better story lines and great battles. The emotion starts pouring out and I love it. I say Soul Eater is the crisper more serious version with a funny edge and One piece is the more funny with action edge. Both are great. 

Both are really funny and the main character, Evans Soul Eater and Monkey D. Luffy are kinda strong and idiotic .......... but in my opinion, I wouldn't say Evans is as strong as Luffy. o well ... anyway .... these are both great adventure/comedy animes.  

both are FUNNY and full of action scenes both have the whole friendship, stick together, never give up kinda thing they are both funny but can have their serious moments too  

Both are seth in fantasy worlds and present unique power/magic system. The art styles are very unusual and somewhat cartoonish but with great action and animation. The characters in both series seems to enjoy being in their groups and display remarcable friendships and relationships between one another. Plot with much comedic aspects but also has very dark sides to it.  

Ueki, Kousuke is the same as Monkey D., Luffy almost in all ways :D he loves food and they both act dumb and they makes jokes if they are fighting and d.luffy fights with long things and ueki fight with long trees and they protect their friends and they talk the same and face expression is the same and his eyes and they believe people fast both animes they obtain power 

Same style of animation, same crazy powers (rubber-man / turns trash into trees xD...) and of course the same "i will save my fwiends (nakama) even if i have to die" 

both have will power. both will try to win the enemy though he is weak. both anime will gain power as their battle goes on 

both main characters have almost, if not the the same personality. There are a couple a similarities between luffy and ueki. nakama power theme and never-dying-will concepts. one major difference though is the setting itself. nonetheless, they have the same thematic aura and nature.  

Ueki and Luffy are so similar with their friendship, morals, and whatnot that whenever I watch Law of Ueki it reminds me of One Piece and vice-versa. Also, they have a concept with the superpowers and they vary between each character..One Piece has the Devil Fruit users and Law of Ueki has Power Users. 

These two anime have very similar character designs. Both main characters respect friendship bonds, always want to eat, have a power due to some reason, and want to be something (great pirate in One Piece, God in Ueki). 

- Main protagonist is very simple minded and do what they want - They have strange powers that would't really relate to battle - They both look up to someone who helped them in the past - Lots of little bits of comedy with tons of battles 

the early stages of ueki no housoku are similar to the early stages of one piece. it instantly hooks you in with plenty of great fights and original techniques to defeat opponents to become number 1. both protagonists have a great heart and know whats right they wont give up and dont fear death 

Male protagonist embarks on an adventure and touches many lives on the way. Epic fight scenes and funny characters are abundant throughout both of these shows. 

Probably the 2 biggest world-building shounen today.Whats the most important,Magi has that great adventure (like One piece) feeling that few shows have.And it also has very unique setting.  

Both are about a person who is striving to be a king(although alibaba wasn't at first) while having help from comrades. Both animes also give importance to the power of friendship and continues improvement among the protagonists. 

-Both are action adventure series with a large emphasis on worldbuilding, each having intricate maps filled with various kingdoms and locations -Both are rags to riches stories about the main characters going from nobodies to becoming notable threats in the world -Both have tremendous chemistry within the main group of characters allowing for comedy to make the journey more bearable -Both have a similar power system (devil fruits & djinn equips) where some kind of mythical object grants access to a particular power, and members of the world can only have one (with select exceptions) 

Both series have fun characters and a focus on detailed worldbuilding. If you like the political aspects of One piece, Magi is the perfect follow up. Both series take a while to get going but pay off big time in their mysteries and suspense

Both are a crazy adventure centered around a cast of fun and colorful characters. Magi is the closest to replicate that feeling of adventure when watching One Piece. Both series' worldbuilding is also phenomenal. The fun adventure in both series' is layered with sad and impactful moments. As a side note, both series also have an interesting dynamic of world politics that go on in the background of each show. 

A Lot Like In OP Yo Find Yourself Amazed By The Different Powers That The Characters Have In Each anime. As far as Character Personality Overlapping Is Concerned, I Feel There Is Quite The Amount. A Fantastic Anime That Although Has Similarities To OP Has A Fair amount Of Differences, Such As Main Character Personalities, location and time Etc. The First 15 Eps Of KHR Are Rather Meh, In The Fact You See The Babies And Your Hesitant To Keep Watching. Watch Past This!! and You Will See Not Only The Story Unfolding And The Babies Getting purpose But Amazing Fight Scenes, A Definate Must See For All That Like OP.  

They are very similar because in OP Luffy has his crew and in KH Reborn Tsuna has his familly.Both are very funny and awesome story and fights. 

Both series involve the bonds of friendship, with One Piece involving the close relationships between the Strawhat crew while Katekyo Hitman Reborn! involving the close relationships between the Vongola 10. Within those both groups, the protagonists' friends are extremely loyal to their leaders. Both main characters (Luffy and Tsuna) are extremely similar as they have the ambition to protect their friends. Both have a vast amount of characters that have interesting and unique backgrounds. Both series have a large amount of action and use of supernatural powers. 

One piece is about pirates and KHR is about Mafia, kinda like that i sugest taht who ever liked one piece or Reborn to watch each other becouse the similiartys is the development wich i think KHR surpasses One Piece and for the respect and loyality that wich gaurdia or nakama as for the main protagonist wich they would follow the Boss/Captain to the end of the world if needed there are various differences but both contain awesome fights, good characters goodstory and awesome character development. 

-Both have a big focus on 'protecting my nakama' -Both are about some sort of group that work together -Both have arcs that are sometimes great, and sometimes not as much 

These two are quite possibly the most ultimate examples of emotionally powerful, but insanely awesome, anime (with superb dubbing to boot). 

It'd be a spoiler to say the main reason I think these two are alike - but that aside, both have similar values in friendship (nakama) and family. And both will absolutely blow your mind with story, and action sequences that'll have your blood pumping the whole way through! PROTIP: Watch it. 

Same amount of epicnes and action ,same humor style if i can said it and the girls have the same boovs somehow anyway they dont have the same story or the animation but can if you like one you surely love Gurren Lagann but if you like Gurren Lagann is not that you ll like one piece 

both are kinda old school and when I say "old school" I mean the old episodes from One Piece, don't get my wrong new episodes are very good but I just love the old ones. OK so down to the point One piece has action goofy style and so does gurren lagann both have the serious moments and some not so serious,all in all I love both and recommend them for they hours of entertainment they gave me. 

- "small" (especially in the comparison to the enourmous world) but strong main protagonist - theme of liberalism - optimism - visible and frequent fan-service - instant powers - similar "stupid" type of humor 

Both One Piece and FMA: Brotherhood are series that have great story plots involving many characters. The characters themselves are well developed as each episode progresses. Additionally, there are themes of adventures, friendship, honor, and pride that are explored many times throughout both series. The main male protagonist from both series has a cheery attitude but is always willing to help others in need by putting themselves in danger to protect in what they believe in. There is also a fictional dangerous group in both series who serves as primary antagonists. Among those antagonists are characters who have diverse personalities. These two series are considered shounens but are presented in a different way that is appealing and holds strong sense of value through its plot development. There is also great humor, catchy scenes/dialogues, and emotional moments that are memorable.  

I don't know how someone hasn't stated it. As someone who has watched one piece it is clear to me that the creator of fullmetal alchemist has taken a huge inspiration from one piece. If you like how one piece sagas come together in the end and how different characters are used to progress the plot you are going to love fmab. 

One Piece is similar to Fullmetal Alchemist in not only success, but When it comes to being better than majority of anime and When you are looking for that perfect anime I highly recommend One Piece or Fullmetal Alchemist. Why? Both have amazing plots and The plots go deeper within the character design, Both have amazing story lines, and The graphics of both these anime are spectacular, no horried or flawed design within the many frames, and Overall the soundtracks to both of these anime are great!

Like One Piece, Nanatsu no Taizai(Seven Deadly Sins) has a general feeling of a very enjoyable happy-go-lucky mood punctuated with serious intensity fights while going on a exploration style adventure. Both of the anime's main protagonists are a group of misfits picking up members one by one, each of which all have special backgrounds making each of them overpowered compared to most fighters in their series though they still have to make an effort in fights. Due to being overpowered, neither series sees a lot of "level-up" events for their characters. And though each series protagonists like to act tough, they are very moral people at heart though they are seen in the public eye as evil whereas antagonists in both series are painted with a hero image.  

Both are adventure manga with a lot of battles. The protagonists are both rather careless but would do everything for their friends and there are also a lot of different characters with very unique abilities and character traits. 

The powerful main character Meliodas and the unique members of his group Seven Deadly Sins are overlap considerably with the One Piece’s Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates crews.  

Both are really underestimated shows, mostly because of their horrible dubbed versions. Generally, people won't watch One Piece because of the art (that evolves after, though) and the number of episodes, and Pokémon because in the mind of most people, Pokémon = childish. In short, both are great anime in their Japanese version, but are totally ruined by the Americans, turning them into childish and stupid shows.

One Piece and Radiant have the same concept, where a young boy having a dream to become the strongest and finding something (Luffy wants to be Pirate King and find One Piece, Seth wants to be the strongest sorcerer and find Radiant). To achieve their dreams, they have to go through adventures to gain allies as well as information about where the things are placed. 

Both follow a similar pattern and premise. Both stories follow the protagonist moving from island to island to become stronger and finding their objective (the One Piece and Radiant) In both cases, the protagonists are seen as evil/the bad guys merely for who they are. > In One Piece, Luffy and his gang are seen are evil because they are pirates and pirates are 'evil' > In Radiant, Seth and other sorcerer's are seen as evil because they are sorcerer's Also, there is a semblance in the antagonists. > One Piece - the Marines > Radiant - the Inquisitors >>> The antagonists are law enforcers who try to catch the protagonists merely their 'occupation' and not by their character; it doesn't matter if they are good people and have not broken the law   

If One Piece is in the sea, then Radiant is in the sky. Both anime is pretty similar, they travel to different islands, fight enemies, make friends and travel together. For One Piece, their journey is to find the treasure called "One Piece" while Radiant in the other hand is to find something called "Radiant" 

Both MC(Luffy and Sinbad) wants to be King. They both have extraordinary power and with their crew they visit different country. 

If you liked the part of one piece where Luffy gathers his crew, then you might like this prequel of Magi. *IDK IF YOU CONSIDER THIS A SPOILER* It is where Sinbad gathers his crew that will one day help him build a country, and where he becomes possibly the strongest character in the series (MAGI IS MY FAVORITE ANIME SO IM BIASED AND SINBAD IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER IN MAGI AND IN ANY ANIME) Although I recommend watching season 1 and 2 Magi first so that you will understand what is happening. 

it has a similar premise of travelling through new islands and great characters. this probably tells you nothing but trust me its a fantastic anime 

About a boy who wants to be the king of something. High School DxD is more ecchi, but One Piece has ecchi elements too. Both have a lot of story arcs and adventures with the main crew of characters. 

There is a massive similarity between these 2 shows. Many would say WHATTTTT HOW IS THERE ANY SIMILARITY? I mean, apart from the obvious which is that they are both anime (duh) you have one HUGH common point. BOOBIES  

At first glance, these shows probably seem completely different. But the thing about both shows that draws you in is the cast. The characters and their chemistry with each other. I found that whenever I watched an episode of One Piece, I was reminded of Haikyuu and its characters. Both are very funny, and if you like character development and fun interactions between characters, both shows are great!  

They start with strong character but they are so friendly that u think they are weaker and humble. They follow the entire story of their main character to become a famous people amount their "worlds" from starting being no one. Both are pretty exciting despite that they are so different categories. 

Pretty much the Fanbases that love each others Anime. Most One Piece fan like JoJo aswell 

Adventures, great villains, fantastic characters' design and fights until the end! That's what these 2 series have in common! It's public knowledge that One Piece is one of the best shonen's ever made, but have you tried Jojo's Bizarre Adventure? Because it's my Top1, I love its art, the relationships between the main characters and the fights! Those might seem simple but I enjoy them a lot, they're a meme ORAORAORA!  

-Both are super popular in Japan and if we consider One Piece as king of shounen shows, Love Live is king of idol shows -Both contain groups that grow over time and finally reach 9 members -Both contain drama -Luffy and Honoka have similar personalities -Love Live has many shounen elements (like trying hard and not giving up for your goal, power of friendship among members, etc.) and obviously One Piece has shounen elements too

Magi is like a condensed version of One Piece set in quite a different setting with ensemble cast similar to One Piece. Alladin/Luffy have a strong sense of responsibility that is concealed by their carefree nature. Both are young, have a huge potential to become legendary heros and destined to posses god-like power in the future. Both have to go through ordeals although ordeals faced by Alladin pale in comparison to those faced by Luffy. In both anime, life energy serves as source of power although it is presented differently in both anime. Sindbad is Shanks. Kouen Ren is Whitebeard. Cassim is Ace. Judar is Blackbeard. There are so many comparable characters. Multiple kingdoms, war, politics, slavery, poverty, racism... So, much is common in both anime. However, the biggest similarity is that both seem to have a light hearted feel about them yet in reality are mature and dark enough to touch some series social and political issue present in our real world.  

They both have the same brand of humor. Additionally, both can draw you into the emotional moments of the story. Luffy is on a quest to become King of the Pirates, Ippo is on a quest to become stronger (aka, win the world feather weight championship). The composition, the mix of humor and seriousness, is the same. It doesn't really have similar setting and world , but that feeling you get from both anime are the same. Both are as great of a shonen series as the other. 

Both are fun adventure shonen about a young boy going on a journey. For One Piece, it is about Luffy as he ventures through the oceans and Grandline. He collects crewmates and seeks to become the Pirate King, fighting off evil marines, other pirates, and overcoming other hurdles. For Digimon Xros Wars, it is about Kudou Taiki and Shoutmon as they venture through the Digital Zones and world. They collect companion Digimon, Shoutmon seeks to become the Digimon King, and they fight off the tyrannical Bagra army, liberating zones and gathering fellow Digimon for their cause. Both also have side characters who play important or recurring roles, such as Smoker or Kiriha, who have their own growth and development. The biggest difference is that Xros Wars is a complete tale while OP still likely has many more years to its story.  

I'm surprised this hasn't been recommended yet. Both are alluring and dark, taking the average person into a world of chaos, crime and justice. Both appeal to a mature audience and dabble with a bit of the super power. one piece is set in a far natural version of sea while from the new world is present day. Amazing seiyuu tomokazu sugita and hiroaki HIRATA play male leads in both. one piece' main focus is funny and Pirates while shinsekai yori is gang violence and the not so ordinary lives of three old.  

Samurai Champloo and One Piece are both popular anime series, but they have distinct differences. However, one similarity between them is their focus on a journey or quest undertaken by a group of diverse characters. In Samurai Champloo, Mugen, Jin, and Fuu embark on a journey across feudal Japan, each with their own motives and goals. Similarly, in One Piece, Monkey D. Fairy Tail has a lot in common with One Piece - even if there aren't really any pirates. Following the story of the Celestial Spirit Mage Lucy Heartfilia, we find all the themes of adventure and friendship woven throughout the story. It's set in a fantasy-type world where magic is abundant, so if you love this genre, you'll be excited to binge it!  

Both of them have many characters that have a super weird power also weird design character. They have same premise too, especially adventure. But it's worth to watch especially if u like shonen anime with fighting scene because they have epic moments for that. Btw, it includes all jojo series, especially for part 3 - part 5 

Deeper topics hidden behind goofy fun story. Both have amazing storytelling. 

Whilst both are quite different in many ways, they do give you a great sense of wonder with their brilliant worlds. 

Similiar theme, sea pierates. Both are connected with "ships". 

Aiming for the all-powerful. Death Note and One Piece both have a similar situation with characters wanting to become king or God of their respective worlds. DN's Light wanting to become the God of a new world by erasing evil. One Piece's Luffy wanting to become king of the pirates. Although DN has a ton of intense mind games and rivalry, One Piece offers a grand journey with the most character development you will ever come across. 

Both of them are ongoing Shonen series with the major themes of growth, , teamwork, and hard work. The main characters seem to be immature and irresponsible at first, but when the right time comes, they turn out to be badass. While one of them aspires to be the pirate king and collects crew mates, the other eyes to be the greatest chef. As more episodes go by, the series and characters grow to become more mature and serious; the series start off kind of slow and overly immature, but once they get going they are both really interesting and rather addictive. Whatever you do, don't overlook these anime series because of the fillers or the characters in the beginning!  

Both involve a boy on a mission, and all the friends that he meets along the way. The main characters both have kind hearts, and serve as unexpected leaders.

I think Akatsuki no Yona is a Shojo version of One Piece. It have adventure, action, and comedy like One Piece, and it also have romance while One Piece haven't. Both main characters recruiting more strong ally as the story goes by, the supporting characters are also have their unique powers. In the end, JaeHa = Sanji. 

The protagonists of both series are very ambitious. Luffy wants to be the king of the pirates, while Bucky wants to be the king of the world. Both anime also have a strong inclination towards comedy, featuring some weird looking characters and creatures and fantasitic and exotic world-building. 

Both are trying to fight against the corrupted government and have a close bonded team. 

both the main characters are strong. both the main characters are underestimated and after the fight people are surprised and have scarry look on thier faces. both are Action,Comedy, Fantasy and Shounen. both the main characters has a girl beside them both the characters are not very friendly with others but when it comes to all they fight together. both the main character luffy and Oga Tatsumi are simple-minded. both of the main character don't care about fighting anyone even if its somebody very strong and don't think about what will happen next. Lots of fights, action, and crazy humor in both series. both have happy face while fighting. both are strong and simple minded yet they have good side too. its hart to tell if the main character is pretend or he is really absence minded sometimes. Differences oga tatsumi acts as he doesn't care about his friends one piece is about pirates and crew with his nakama [friends]while beelzebub is about demon world and rearing a baby and delinquents.  

About friendship. They are similar by how they treasure their nakama (friends). 

Humor in both are very similar. I could be a really serious moment but it a split second you could start laughing at the random humor. They both have wacky characters, funny facial expressions with large mouths. 

At first look there is nothing similar in One Piece and Black Lagoon, but both shows tells a story about pirates and has unique characters.  

Some bad-ass shounen actions that includes adventure and both show the out right hilarious comedy but get serious when they want to protect their friends.
