I think that both touch your heart in way that you just want to cry all day long

Fruits Basket is Clannad with steroids. I strongly, super strongly recommend watching it.

Both main characters are good-natured, kind-hearted, likeable girls with a little bit of a ditzy side. Love interests are a bit detached but grow as people once they meet the main character. Interesting plots with a supernatural side to it.

1. Similar theme of people changing each other gradually 2. Lots of different relationships and their issues 3. The dynamic of the protagonist and another two girls being friends appeared kind of similar to me

Both shows are adaptations of classic shoujo manga, which focus on the sole female in one way or another ending up accompanying the rest of the male cast. They both also have a variety of enjoyable characters

Both anime will make you really emotional with the drama and the characters backstories, have underlying romance and a plus one for the main male leads have the same voice actor😁

Both shows exhibit this same gentle tone of a mix of silly comedic moments but a lot of heart tugging dramatic moments. Both shows feature a main girl with a sunny personality who is able to pull characters from their lowest points in their emotions just by showing she cares. Both shows feature characters from troubled families with an over bearing cold family head, in Fruits Basket you have the Soma family lead by Akito and in Taisho Otome you have Shima family lead by their cold distant father.

If you value the pursuit of understanding one's emotions, then you will find that in both series. There are many ways in which these anime differ in genre. However, the way they approach the matter of understanding emotions is identical. The tragic heroine finds a way to give her peers emotional closure despite she herself needing said closure. The wholesome epiphanies that these heroines grant are soothing and restores your faith in humanity. They grant their peers emotional support to help them deal with their realistic struggles to grant the courage to escape their emotional turmoil. If not, directly intervene to save others from collapsing under

Both have similar animation styles and soundtracks. They are centered around high school students and the circumstances are mostly normal but with a slight supernatural edge.

- Both have friendly female main protagonists who live in a house full of spirit boys. - They try to clean the house while teaching the boys what it means to be human. - The beginnings are exactly the same: both are orphaned pretty much, due to the deaths of their parents. In Fruits Basket, she stumbles upon a house in the forest when she was trying to build her own tent there on a rainy day. In Momochi, the female main protagonist inherited the house.

Is 'wholesome harem' a genre? Anyways, where 'Bunny Girl Senpai' teases titillation, 'Fruits Baskets instead teases romance, but both are actually much more about the main character helping people dealing with their problems than they are about those particular elements. The key difference that makes them a nice complement to each other is the way that the protagonists are characterized; Rascal is an aloof and seemingly apathetic guy who springs into action the moment someone he cares about needs help, and in contrast, Tohru affects change in others through her endless energy and positivity. The problems in Fruits Baskets tend to be more literal and

Both give me heart-warming feelings, like a hug i need when i feel weak. Nice story telling. The characters are well built and have good development. They care for the other, accept other's flaws and give them strength to grow and change... I'm bad at phrasing out what i want to say so here's a comment from other reader:"The anime is very light, however touch on inner conflicts that many people face, including jealousy between friends and the "real world" "

Slice of life, lessons on morality and solving personal issues with others. Fruits Basket is more about accepting others, trying to get to know each other better, and learning about the personalities of each person. The Pet Girl of Sakurasou is more about being there for each other, solving issues together and how hard work sometimes doesn't pay off.

- Both fall in love with a super natural being - Both are homeless and then start living with the supernatural - The love interest doesn't show much care for the mc at first.

The two are able to wonderfully portray the awkwardness and pains of growing up in Teenage or you can say Young Adult. Both Tohru(Fruba) and Kyouko(Horimiya) share similar aspects in which they both become caretakers to a family. The character development and mix of romance and comedy also greatly resembles that present in Fruits Basket. Definitely recommended if you are looking for shows which provide the same emotional vulnerability wrapped in a slice-of-life setting, look no further.

Somewhat slowburn romance with a supernatural twist - the time periods differ but both have complicated superpowered family dynamics.

Toradora and FB are somewhat only superficially similar, dude meets girls, life entanglement and stuff blooms from thereon. However, the two are usually acclaimed in their handling of the themes they use. Toradora is a love story going into what people truly wish for, FB being a supernatural tale about the consequences of peternormal abilities. Both using their premise to go deep into such with vivid character development and awesome perspective of understanding the reality. Both are pretty good drama anime, with one being a well-known rom-com, the other being a highly acclaimed shoujo story so good it needed a remake.

Has a different premise and satirizes a lot of shoujo tropes but also literally becomes fruits basket at some point along the way -Reverse harem but hits a lot of emotional beats -Female mc is just a really good person and friend to everyone around her -Girl literally living together with two boys -Male mc gives Kyo vibes

Parents die and forced to adapt to a new home. Both mc are hardworking and enjoy helping others.

When I think about similar series, I think Fruits Basket (2019). Personally I find the 1st season more similar than the 2nd one, But I adore the 2nd season as well.
