Damn dude, this Anime is my favorite isekai after i watched Average isekai anime, This not like another isekai anime wich is have a boring storyline, i can tell this anime have a little fresh content, like a get betrayed from his friends but MC dont care about that (Not like Average mc, choice to Revenge).
according to me,minus of this anime is the Animation Get bad executed,They cut the important part of manga,and no news about this anime get Season 2(I WANT THIS SERIES GET SEASON 2!!!)
About the character,im so confused why mc status with FMC is Girlfriend/boybfriend,its like i need to read the LN😅

Some creative works lead as the definition themselves, incomparable in numerous respects and the basis for its class. At the hands of the oft-praised unorthodox mind of Yuasa, overflowing with his distinctive direction has a brimful anime called Kaiba spawned that challenges the limits of the medium. One can say it is a significant hallmark for animation simply for its visionary maneuver of movement, the heart of the storytelling vehicle, and its partnership with volatile plot progressions both in the episodic portions and the primary tale for how the narrative is unfolded by its world and its ... characters. Complete the puzzle pieces together, and it simply is "one-of-a-kind".

Now to be quite honest, as of this section I'm still unsure of what I feel about Kaiba in the realm of "liking" and "not liking (enough)". In engaging myself with writing I'm seeking out the truth in the process. It's fun to find a definitive answer by navigating through a sea of unpolished thoughts by means of writing it all out. But of course, I already have preliminary impressions.

Yuasa and team have created a stylistic powerhouse to be sure, but I personally encountered a degree of difficulty in following the scenes and piecing two and two together due to a feeling of being lost in the marathon.

Kaiba is fundamentally a show which aims to shower the viewer with existential acceptance and ease through emphasizing the importance of memories, that is the continuous past that creates the present which powers the future, acceptance of the many versions of one's self (Kaiba accepting his being Warp--a distinguished copy of it--and the Final Warp at the end), maintaining harmony with the body as a vessel, and making efforts to be vulnerable and honest and faithful to the virtue in interpersonal relationships. Detailing the path towards the nucleus is the presence of societal and moral ills namely discrimination, objectification, the stark divide between different economical classes, power struggles, and even one under the umbrella of child labor, as the sources of conflict and a way to condense a statement which tells of the state of such a large entity as the world heavily affecting one's sense of self as well, elbowing at the political sphere.

Packed with many things to say, no doubt. But its container as a 12-episode-long anime I believe has made it fall victim to the common problem of compressed content with airy depths. This is where the animation further fills the gaps, but in some moments, it becomes the purveyor of confusion.

For instance, this clip (https://imgur.com/AHXOJNy) from episode 8 shows Kichi, the one Popo slandered as a "degenerate memory merchant" way back in episode 1, in his moving chair collecting the body of Kaiba. It was the first time his name was revealed, and his unnanounced entrance, alongside the speed of his exit without clearly showing his overall image, puzzled me as to who that person is and why he seems important to the scene and to Popo and Sate. It didn't help that the previous sequences between Mantle, Evil Warp, and Hal was heated and crowded with action, and it also didn't help that Kichi's screentime was very brief to register his character with utmost clarity amidst the bustling episodes in between. What's more, the events that followed with Sate pointing her gun at the defenseless Evil Warp's head which she noticed from a large distance, yet not shooting her enemy, was quite unreasonable. Popo noticed it too, but none of them reacted over seeing a Warp copy, feeling urgent instead a certain Kichi's involvement. It felt really awkward. There must be a reason for this, and indeed one point was raised a minute or so later when Sate said in an amazed tone how there are multiple Warps existing, but shouldn't seeing one firsthand opt a resistance group to at least immobilize their foe on sight? That portion always bugged me.

Another one was in episode 11 (https://imgur.com/jW6MazA), with Mantle suddenly revived after Evil Warp made him pop in episode 8. It took several revisits of the scene of his supposed death to have an inkling on how he survived.

From what I understood, it had something to do with the violet substance he bit with his teeth, since after liquefying, the pool was of the same color, unlike the rest of the instances of being shot turning the body into yellow (except the Warp line which bleed green). What that substance was, it is quite unsure. I couldn't find any other explanation to defend it from being a major plot discrepancy, since he didn't collaborate with anyone other than Dada (and even then he was betrayed); that whole feud with Evil Warp couldn't have been scripted. Perhaps that Mantle who got popped was an exact copy using Patch's bio-copy technology; still it bleeding purple wouldn't make sense, and no one else other than Patch can avail of the factory I think. Although a sort-of logical answer is found, the many neglected details tarnish it, and the process in achieving it isn't intuitive for such a revelation very late into the game.

Speaking of neglected details, has this "Meiri" object Mantle brought to Evil Warp ever been explained? I might have missed it out.

One last thing in the department of difficult to understand: Kaiba's motives in willingly removing his memory by falling from Heaven through the electrolytic cloud. There are things which should be discussed before reaching that point.

Warp's reputation as king betrays him due to converting memories into chips which can be exploited and putting up memory tanks for its operations. But did that Warp who had been a vile king for many years also include Kaiba? It probably did, since Kichi did say in episode 10 that Kaiba was like that before meeting Neiro and falling in love with her.

So why did he willingly forfeit his memories to be reborn underground?

Possibility 1: He wanted to save the underground world. This claims that he already possessed sympathy despite being Warp. He saw the state of the world and wished to change its condition. Vanilla did remark that Warp wouldn't want a town like Abipa, and the last episode showed the grievances of Kaiba regarding the thick evils of the world. But why did he need to go through the cloud and remove his memories? Wouldn't it be more optimal to use his powers to abolish the system as the omnipotent being that he is? And not in a way that he should threaten--rather, participate in rebuilding the laws and recalibrating the culture towards a more conducive society. Maybe he didn't trust himself due to being a part of the Warp line, and willingly subjected himself to be shaped by the consciousness of his impoverished citizens, so he calculated his descent to crack straight through the old palace which contains the memories of his previous brethren to eventually return there after gaining new insights, go back to Heaven, and fight from there again? Then his reply to Neiro that he is fighting the best he can rings solidly. Still, I'm not sold in the cause of his actions being strong distrust of his own self, when he apparently already has gained empathy by that time. And that same possession of empathy conflicts Kichi's comment regarding his tyranny in the past.

Possibility 2: He was still a vile king who schemed to be an insider threat to destroy Issoudan's resistance. We bring back the idea that he calculated his fall from the cloud to breach the old palace and eventually regain memories. His preliminary plan would be to get rid of Issoudan by learning about it as much as he can, but he didn't take into account that he would be someone else after being fed with new memories. Additionally, upon Kaiba's return to Heaven, the Computer relayed this specific line: "The mission is complete." The "mission" must be Kaiba's invasion of Issoudan headquarters, especially since a Warp figure exclaimed its danger for defying the government. Therefore Kaiba's vileness is as Kichi has stated, but it refutes Vanilla's and Final Warp's thoughts on the matter. I understand, however, that Kichi does not personally know Kaiba, whereas Final Warp does, so his voice should probably place him in a less reliable position as an observer. I'm disinclined to put my belief on this possibility; I've become more forgiving of the former.

Before moving on, who was that Warp which was delivering death sentences to reported criminals and said that Issoudan is dangerous? It couldn't have been Kaiba, since this Warp's chest has no hole. It couldn't have been Evil Warp because he was born only after Neiro was reborn, and this scene came way before that. Was this another Warp before them? A very out-of-place move if it were. So maybe it is Kaiba? I found another moment where Kaiba had no hole where he should've, which might just be an error. (https://imgur.com/dXeSlsP) This wouldn't be the only time this happens, because the finale proved that such things could occur. A blood-filled Neiro, after one short cut, suddenly became clean (https://imgur.com/jW6MazA). In and of itself, such a thing shouldn't be anything more than awkward. But when made as a reference for earlier errors, it only fortifies the credibility of a personal headache-inducing experience. The small details present themselves to be important, such as Hyo-Hyo's disappearance from the capsule and Kichi's clenched fist in episode 1 and Quilt being recurrent, which when thinking about possibly Neiro inhabiting the scientist's body to shut down Patch, and Quilt's design being an important stuffed for her from childhood, adds more tragedy to Neiro's manipulated fate. It makes a few brief scenes of Kaiba not having a hole for some reason become catastrophic and a turn away from its own virtues.

Kaiba is a heavily dense show, with non-stop movement and relevant lore drop until the end. More often than not, every minute part of it serves towards a complete tale. The merits of a packed story were unfortunately heavily obstructed by a tad bit too loose direction which forsakes an intuitive experience and a room to breathe amidst the boisterous and all the same intriguing events, not to mention what seemed to be technical inconsistencies.

What a long errand that section of relieving my stress was. All in the name of propriety; it's usually best to first leave the baggage behind.

Although I couldn't say that finally knowing what I needed to know provided orgasmic satisfaction in being emancipated from bogging questions since it was more of a relief than a revelation which cleanses me from lingering reservations and purifies me to be of apostolic devotion, it would be remiss of me not to appreciate what Kaiba stands for in a more thematic standpoint.

Any theme around the matters of the soul can easily find their way through my sensibilities and repose from the warm reception and service. Kaiba is no exception with its indulging in memories, something very much a prey under my fixated gaze. It's a whirlwind to try to expound upon it due to the compact link it has on everything else, but I'll do my best.

The past is what created us, each present is meant for us to create something for our future: A back-and-forth dance between creator and creation that will inevitably land on the castle of memories. A poetic idea to think about. Since memories from what Kaiba asserts are practically what composes our soul and what gives substance to our existence, dabbling on the concept already touches on our overall humanity in every movement of the pen.

Yuasa in candid and creative fashion criticizes the raw objectification of the flesh which has spawned like a swarm due to the memory chip innovation that can extract memories from the body, leaving it to be a mere toy for the people in power's pleasure, such as Chroniko's buyer and many other pedophiles. Another good example of misusing technological advancements is the town of Abipa becoming a "Land of Paradise" in a manner that defiles itself, where they cast off their original essences to become nothing but delectable snacks for one another through Patch's bio-copy technology. It mirrors the recent trends of AI as a tool for generating pornographic material which can even tarnish the bodies of real-life human beings. One interesting character which practices the same criticized behavior is Vanilla, who throughout the episodes was set up to achieve a sort of redemption by sacrificing himself to save Kaiba (in Chroniko's body), fully knowing his feelings, whether sexually motivated or romantically nurtured, were unrequited. His journey was interesting for being a vessel to present the distinction (or maybe harmony) between sex and romance, especially when taking into consideration the characteristics of his masculinity; I made a separate brief writeup for it. It was simply interesting how he becomes a more sympathized figure with glorified sequences by the conclusion of his screentime.

The commodification of memory is the commodification of the body. In treating either and each as mere resource that can be exploited, both victim and perpetrator become more deviated from humanity.

What becomes of the King of Memories then? This is the perfect segue to talk about Kaiba.

Protagonists are written to be the embodiment of a story's main theme. That is a given. I gotta say, it still doesn't hinder awe and appreciation of Kaiba's concept as a copy of the Warp line of memory kings.

Despite being a copy, Kaiba eventually achieves a more comfortable sense of individuality--he becomes his own person. What he does with his endless ocean of memories separates him from every other Warp that came before him as well as the last two after him. Although he didn't live the life of the First Warp who was poisoned by his mother, he was still as affected, amplifying the impact of external influences. By the help of Neiro shedding light to the truth of his past, Kaiba and the world were saved from complete eradication.

In having the mother become Warp's greatest grievance, he becomes a figure that symbolizes a dissonance from the natural state of being. We are brought into this world by our mothers, and Warp's creator handing out an attempt of mercy killing started the madness.

I believe the existence of memory tanks, the memory chip, the authentic Warp copying technology, and the dynasty was for civilization not to suffer what the first Warp had via inheritance issues. Normalizing absurdity also lessens discrimination to the outliers like Warp. There will be no siblings fighting each other, no mothers and fathers killing their children over the continuation of rule, if Warp rules by himself throughout the generation.

Things went out of control with society's misuse of the invention, with the electrolytic cloud allowing Warp to escape from the bad memories of the Old Palace (which caused a ripple effect dividing the rich and the poor), with Evil Warp cursing his fellow Warp as if mirroring his progenitors' act, with the Final Warp advocating unequivocal escape to the land of death, and this makes Warp's and by extension Kaiba's tragedy a colossal one. That every Warp stays infantile (with their age appearance sometimes an indication of their mental state, mostly for the Final Warp) speaks loudly of how they couldn't move on from the past and have stunted their growth because of it. Not to mention Kaiba's hole in the chest, an overt sign of his despair.

Funny enough, the word Kaiba is more famous for being the legendary plant who swallows memories to grow. Neiro gave it to the protagonist for a reason contrary to that entity, being like a reborn baby (due to the amnesia) who has sharp memory that can instead swallow Neiro's pain and has the neverending possibility to grow.

On that note, let's talk about parallels. Kaiba and Neiro's first meeting resembles so much like a mother and her child. The resemblance becomes uncanny by Kaiba's behavior of someone who just got birthed, being rather wordless at the start, rather curious, uninhibited, and even imitating some of Neiro's mannerisms. Episode 10 henceforth changed my view of their relationship to something attaching...Freudian suggestions. The parallels continue with Neiro twice preventing Kaiba from being poisoned via drink, both times with her as the instrument to deliver the toxic potion, whereas the First Warp's mother let her son drink it by herself. Uncanny positioning and framing at episode 12 fortifies the comparison, which is appropriate because now a mother-like figure has given this child a more optimistic view of life as a whole, now being able to reconcile with his memories due to the truth discovered by Neiro. And for Neiro, who is parentless, now is in the position of a nurturer (I apologize for the mother-child relating for anyone who has reached this portion of the reflection and sees them as partners, can't help it, I see their relationship in a less romantic way). Kaiba has come a long way from his many past lives, and from changing bodies in order to survive. The episodic content were highly entertaining segments to build the interesting fantasia world, but each also hold contributions to the overarching plot. The stuffed toy era signifies Kaiba after the removal of his memories, unable to talk, with Hyo-Hyo in the same avenue of lackluster communication. Chroniko and Negi's relationship is a reflection of First Warp and his mother's, but the daughter, with memories sold, remained fond of her mother despite the sacrifices she herself needed to make for her brothers; Negi's lamentations symbolize Hal's regrets over trying to end the misery of her son, left with nothing but deep-seated emptiness and a gaping reminder that the past had been paradise. Patch's doctor inhabiting a non-human creation in the form of Quilt is much like Hal with the body of a chicken; Patch is a leader of the ingenious bio-copy technology much like Warp invented the memory manipulation idea. The tower episode further demonstrates appreciation of one another, and the preservation of treasured memories. Although the rather standalone episodes offered the better experience to me personally, realizing their significance to the main plot starting at episode 8 remedies many of my gripes.

After a tumultuous series of occurrences (I never even touched Popo specifically, but well he already blends with parts of the reflection as a manipulated individual who was made to mistake becoming great from simply being a healthy person due to her mother's words being edited by Dada, the latter turning into a robot scrapped by her son, and ending with the on-the-spot acceptance of complete universal destruction with only his and Cheki's memories stored), we are left with an empty slate: strangers without recollection of who they are reaching out to grasp another person's hand as if by instinct so as to concentrate the importance of harmony from the very start of birth, the electrolytic cloud diffused, the legendary plant Kaiba warded off, and Neiro and Kaiba finally able to live together.

It begs the question: What will happen next? Will Kaiba and Neiro become eternal beings by preserving their existence through constantly transferring their memories into different bodies? Or will they accept the equal sentence of the Reaper with open arms? I believe they will, knowing the repercussions of memory transfer in history. And now that they have both accepted what they have done wrong, perhaps they will together herald a new beginning of society, which now safeguards dignity and free will, and pass on their legacy to suitable souls.

I really don't want to rate this series, but posting things here necessitates it. Still, no matter what quantified value sticks out like a thumb amidst this wall of text, I cherish this one-of-a-kind experience watching Kaiba through the episodes and thoroughly eliciting my realizations upon finishing the show, and no number can win over this fruitful journey.

"Engage kiss" is what comes out after an anime is adapted from a fucked up story with no get-go.

After watching the first episode one would initially think that this is a erotica bundled with some fucked up sci-fi plot having just to cater the needs of lonely man and their bottom half, and well... it is exactly that. But the thing is that it fails to even do that, i.e the basic purpose for which it is made.

The protagonist of the story is a fucking loser with 0 talent and skills, but he is still able to maintain a harem of women head over ... heels over him just because of his fictional privileges. Not only that, but even the side characters just revolve around the MC and have no self care/ decision making abilities. And on tope of that the MC is an asshole and a hypocrite whose basically living controlled by his dick each turn.

The fight scenes and the art being the only good thing about this garbage is what made me to stick around till the end. Otherwise, this is an absolute boring piece of trash not worth even looking.

Mikasa never forgot about Eren until the day she died , i mean they even showed that she got married , then after many years she got OLD and then died wearing Eren Scarf it was very touching , they showed us that war will never end even after thousands and thousands of years people were fighting each other as it is in human nature to do so , the whole world was destroyed and reborn again
and then we saw someone going in to the tree and it is same as Ymir man.. ,demn , a whole full LOOP ,

Nothing ever happens. The relationship between Akira and Kencho is where the comedy and story peak. The "villains" are unfathomably evil. The could've easily weaved them into the story but instead they wait till episode 10 to introduce the dreadful antagonist. The main protag and antag have a good dynamic but that is due to my imagining of how someone with talent would make it not what transpires in the show.
The theme is so boring "freedom is good" really? I'm hearing this for the first time. The idea of freedom leading to evil prospering and how someone who values individual freedom would account for ... evil/bad outcomes could be a really fantastic theme however in this show it's freedom good evil bad. BORING
Beatrix letting her weapons be destroyed and not caring ruined any investment i had left.
The animation is fantastic. The humor is hit or miss. I enjoy that they made blood different colours it kept my attention and lead to some good visuals.

To long didn't read: Style over substance but not enough to keep me entertained for 4 hours.

The 100 Girlfriends who really....love you is what the "Tags" says. It is Ecchi,it is Harem and its a no brainer but i have to admit i had a blast watching all 12 Episodes.
I startet this Anime cause i saw some reels/shorts on Social Media and i was in the Mood for something simple, funny with some Romantic Vipe to it. I had such a good laugh the first to Episodes that i finished it pretty quick.

So yes there is not much to Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo but thats for me at least what made it good.If you are looking ... for a filler for a bad day and a good laugh you should give it chance. Cause at least it has some Positive messages if you are in a bad Headspace. If you don't expect too much,you will have a good time here.

Good Watch for me 6/10.

Futakoi is difficult to sit through.

The cast is way too overblown due to the gimmick, and because of that some members of the harem basically had no goddamn screentime.

The Chigusa twins for example fade completely to the background once their episode was done and over with. Lala and Lulu were just there for comedic relief, same goes for the teacher twins. The Shirogane twins are the most interesting and overall best girls, but due to them coming into the series late they also very quickly fade as we have to focus on the very, very boring "main" girls.

The Sakurazuki twins have the same gimmick ... and behave in the exact same way, one is always just echoing the other and they don't really do anything to standout. It is the same character just copy pasted for threesome fantasy purposes. While they work well with other characters and added some decent comdedy due to their stupidity, their extreme similarity makes any scene with them feel sooooo sloooooow.

The exact same problem goes for the Ichijo twins but even WORSE. They are both the typical "kind" girls and also the token osananajimi. Aside from a little in fighting that comes to a head later on, they are just BORING, there is no other way to put it. They are plain pieces of untoasted wheat toast.

Harem series are very much about the quality of the girls and how much they manage to charm you, so having twice amount the girls should've given this a decent leg up and get a wide appeal. However, due to most twins acting the exact same together or having a very lackluster dynamic you are left with nothing more than wasted potential for a otherwise decent premise.

It doesn't help that the main guy is a coward who keeps romantically leading all the girls on (ON PURPOSE) only to then pussy out whenever things get too real and he has to actually make decisions that could impact him. He had to be guilt tripped into doing the right thing and even then it seems like he's just gonna get away with being a dipshit.

in the first season, they tried to make the main character look like a clean-hearted person. (I think it was a failure)...
this season, the main character has become a mindless person. excesses should be avoided when creating a character. but I think the writers want to show the character as a god of goodness. this makes the character repulsive rather than believable.

other than that, the colors are beautiful but the animations are average. the story is not as interesting as in the first season (although the last episodes of the first season were very boring)

the characters are extremely boring and uniform, this problem ... has been like this since the middle of the first season.
when the main character turns 15, there is nothing left involved in character development. but still, it's not as if it can't be tolerated to watch. i'm sure a lot of people will watch it with more fun than me.

It's undeniable that the year of 2024 had a rather lacklustre start when it comes to anime, with a Winter Season filled with more of the same, dreadful anime sequels, and things we'd be better off forgetting. However, at the same time, we had some pleasant surprises, and one of them was certainly "Dungeon Meshi".

Adapted from Ryoko Kui's original manga, the anime produced by Trigger Studio revolves around the theme of cooking and fantasy, which honestly, considering recent examples of works tackling these themes, both together and separately, doesn't leave much to expect. But fortunately, we were surprised with a genuinely good piece of work ... that brilliantly explores this combination of themes.

For those completely unfamiliar with the original material (like myself), it's normal to imagine it would be a generic story about adventurers in a dungeon with a secondary theme of cooking developed poorly and superficially. However, the author managed to brilliantly execute the idea. The way cooking is intertwined with the worldbuilding and mythology of the work is delightfully interesting and creative, constantly keeping us surprised. Whenever a new enemy appears, we wonder how it will be prepared.

But it's not just the culinary aspect that is well-crafted; the adventure and fantasy parts are also very engaging. The various conflicts the protagonists face with the dangers of the dungeon are not treated frivolously, thinking only about the cooking that will follow; they have a certain depth to them as much as the author's proposal and intention for the work allow. We see the characters devising strategies and dealing with the consequences of each confrontation, unlike other stories of this type where the main characters always emerge unscathed.

The characters are another point that sets it apart from other more generic productions, perhaps because the work features adult characters who behave with the maturity expected of them in a comedy anime. Their personalities are extremely entertaining, and the group functions very well together, providing us not only with good moments of laughter and relaxation but also those that warm the heart. However, the same cannot be said for the secondary characters, which I found quite dull and uninteresting.

Regarding the technical aspects, for a layman like myself, there's nothing to complain about. The adaptation boasts beautiful animation and design, with a soundtrack that fits perfectly. The team features a very competent direction that remains steadfast and takes risks at the right moments. The voice actors also did a remarkable job, both in the original and in Brazilian Portuguese (personally, this is one of the rare cases where I prefer the Brazilian version).

All of this results in one of the biggest surprises in this industry that I've had in recent times. "Dungeon Meshi" is an excellent anime and easy to binge-watch multiple episodes at once. It's a work that certainly pleases all audiences and one that I would recommend to anyone asking for a random suggestion.

Japan's Rail transportation system is really impressive, on a level of its own for sure. It was fun to watch an anime following the perspective of a train otaku, lol.

All in all, not much to say about Rail Wars! I'm glad it was short because it was kind of boring to watch, despite it having 12 episodes. I finished this anime in 4 days, 3 episodes each because I'm not really fond of an action-based anime with no real storyline, and I'm not really a huge fan of fanservice, but if you are, there are plenty of them on each episode. The fanservice on ... this anime really stole the spotlight, but the protagonist's mindset is something that you can respect and learn from; the act of selflessness, an element of shounen which the MC should have. I enjoyed watching this when I was younger, not too much now though.

Frieren is one of those shows that you cannot really evaluate properly after just watching 1-3 episodes. Its tone starts out calm, stoic and almost ethereal, something that most people are not used to when watching anime, so it's easy to believe this might be a sign of great narrative depth... But once you start scratching over the surface, you quickly realize how shallow Frieren truly is.

SETTING
Generic Tolkienian isekaislop. Set in a trite parody of medieval Europe where nothing ever seems to progress no matter how many centuries pass, it includes humans, elves, dwarves, demons, dragons... You know, the usual. Out of 28 episodes, there ... wasn't a single location or enemy that was even remotely original or thrilling. If you expected some elaborate worldbuilding, you'll be sorely disappointed.

STORY
When something is unique and different, that means either one of two things: it's better than average, or it's worse than average. The case of Frieren is the latter. The plot is entirely driven by the characters, and the characters are absolutely OBSSESED by the past, to a sickening degree. A dead family, a dead mentor, a dead friend, a dead hero, a dead lover... It just never ends. Some reflection over the fleetingness of life is fine, but everything in Frieren is blatant nostalgia-bait with the specific intent of inducing warm and cozy and fuzzy feelings into the viewer. This is made worse by the fact that the history of Frieren is exclusively told through brief disjointed flashbacks every 10 seconds. It's like watching the trilogy of Star Wars sequels, except there are no already established elements to be nostalgic about. This obsession with the past is probably due to the fact that no character is actually interested in the present. "Who or what is a Demon Lord?", "Why does anyone fight it?" and "What's up with magic anyway?" are evidently questions not worth answering to. The original 4-hero party was essentially just a group of coworkers who once worked together on some random project and then went their separate ways. They didn't care enough about each other to meet more than once every 50 years, yet the viewer should care?

CHARACTERS
As previously stated, every character in Frieren is a marionette attached to the strings of the past. Nobody knows what they want in life or what they even like, they all just do what they think their (dead) acquaintances might want them to do. No personal agency, no higher morality, no future goals. In short, it feels like every character just lives to die. As for their personal growth, it's always pretty much over by the end of their introductory episodes. If I had to give some additional insight on each character:
- Frieren
Gotta give credit where credit is due, Frieren is the average anime watcher's ultimate fantasy: socially inept and borderline autistic, yet nigh-omnipotent, universally loved and eternally young and beautiful. No wonder everyone has a picture of Frieren as their social media avatar nowadays.
- Fern
Super-talented genius child who later becomes super-talented genius mother-figure. Her personality is even more abrasive and aimless than Frieren's, but cute funny faces are apparently more than enough to forgive that.
- Stark
Who?
- Sein
One of the better characters in this series, since he has at least a realistic goal to strive towards in the present (even though he's still chained to the past like everyone else).
- Demons
They're not even characters, just mindless plot devices.
- Everyone else
Dead and/or irrelevant.

BATTLES
The magic system of Frieren is about as fleshed out as Harry Potter's. All you need to know is that some individuals have more mana than others, everthing else is flavor. The First-Class Mage Exam could have been a good opportunity for an original tournament arc and more exposition on the battles, but it turned out to be barely more than filler.

PRODUCTION
The drawings are pretty, the animations are fluid and the music is both soothing and freshing. That's true. For the first few episodes. But by the 28th episode, the style gets so repetitive and boring that the viewer is at serious risk of falling asleep. This is also due to the fact that the animators took almost no artistic liberty with the designs and environments; it's all so generic it might as well have been generated by AI. The openings and endings are nice, the first-half ones in particular, I'll give them that.

VERDICT
Given the sheer amount of laughable 10/10 preliminary reviews and the fact that this is one of the worst shows produced by Madhouse in at least the past 20 years, a score of 1/10 is definitely appropriate.

I initially thought the main theme of this anime would be about growing up and how futile it is to resist the changes that come with growing into adulthood. It did well to set this up and it makes sense with the setting being a town where you are literally not allowed to change, but instead the story decided to go down a path Sigmund Freud would love with an elektra complex focus for god knows what reason.

To give the film some credit, it has an incredibly intriguing premise - I may have been confused at times but not once was I bored. I didn't ... read a summary other than glancing at the sypnosis which mentioned how people weren't allowed to change - I think if I didn't see that I would've been a whole lot more confused because I didn't understand this had supernatural elements and people literally weren't changing until the third exposition by the main character. These initial expositions clueing the viewer into the situation of the town were done well, it didn't feel like I was being ham fisted the backstory - but again it took a while for it to click with me and I don't think somebody going in blind would get it either until atleast halfway through the film.

The main character didn't really feel like a person to me, he felt very much like a vehicle for the audience to view the world. He has no distinguishable character traits other than...being good at drawing? That was quite literally the only trait he had, his personality was that of a discarded receipt that had fallen into a puddle on the sidewalk. Completely irrelevant and forgotten. This of course creates a problem when this anime is allegedly...a romance.

The main female lead, at least I believe she's supposed to be, is - I can't really say this nicely but she's genuinely an insufferable bitch? Pretty much every scene she's in she's just...being a bitch. No spoilers so I can't back these up but she's just a horrible person to everyone?

Now you can probably imagine why it's hard to believe a romance when the people who are meant to be at the centre of it are a wet wipe and an asshole. Maybe they are suited to each other...but no accidental puns aside the romance is horrifically forced and at no point did I feel like it made sense. I can think of one possible justification as to why they're meant to be the romance partners of this anime which is revealed about halfway through but if that is genuinely meant to be the reason they're in love then it simply creates more questions than answers and doesn't give across the right message in my opinion.

Then there's the child. I can't say all too much because again, spoilers but just...why. They could have genuinely removed this character completely and the anime would have been better, which clearly shouldn't be the case considering she's a vital character towards the premise but it really is. She's meant to facilitate the two main characters arcs but they don't go through an arc so she is literally redundant. Her own...developments are just weird. So weird. It seems the only reason she's there is so they can add the theme of 'love between boys and girls' into the description but this theme just serves to the detriment of the anime.

Spirit wolf, sacred wolf, whatever it is is incredibly confusing and convoluted, I didn't fully understand it either by the end - the film had a solid enough premise without it. Nothing would really have changed if they just did away with that layer of the not-changing world.

Another over-the-top two dimensional so evil he's evil wow evil, villain. What's new, not surprised just disappointed that we continue to get these boring antagonists who are just plot points and serve as anticlimactic stake makers for the main characters.

It's a shame this sucked so bad because I always look forward to watching these stories told by women as typically romances written by men fail to capture any nuance especially with the women characters - here the woman character does have nuance I'll give her that but the plot surrounding her just diminishes it all to nothing. The more I think about this anime the worse it appears to me because it had potential but overall it got lost in what message it was trying to tell.

This was an unexpected hidden gem! A blend of parody comedy with some heartwarming moments, it's not a standout classic but definitely enjoyable for fans of parody anime.

Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge is sometimes billed as an anthology series, but that's not quite correct. It's really more of a parallel dual POV story, following two sets of characters.

Aimi and Kaoruko are an aspiring manzai duo, who happen to have secret identities as sentai "heroes" Love Pheromone, though they cause more destruction than they prevent. The five Hokke sisters are the focus of the other half of each episode. They're the daughters of sentai-style minions ... who are determined to follow in their parents' footsteps as examples of excellent evil.

The series blends the silliness of Aimi and Kaoruko's struggles with the heartwarming story of the Hokke sisters. The blend of humor and poignancy does make the Hokke sisters' story better; I might have liked to see an independent series following them. Otone working to support her family is compelling as are the interactions among the sisters, though Aimi and Kaoruko have their own warmth from time to time. They are definitely the comic relief here. The show excels on absurdity, parody, and situational humor. The formula might have gotten old with a longer show but in 1 cour it doesn't wear out its welcome.

The series does require a tolerance of a certain level of fanservice and some sleaze particularly Kaoruko's shotacon tendencies. The character designs are cute, the voice acting is good. This seems like a labor of love, or at least that the staff and cast are having fun.

Simply put, this is not Goblin Slayer.

First seaon of Goblin Slayer would always remain a legend, a kind of unique concept, showing realism in it's more crude and brutal reality of a world where monsters exist and people need monster killers to survive. Monster killers, who are either naive adventurers who get a grip on reality, the bad way, or just survivors, who have lost innocence and have motivations against those beings. We get to see this following the story of the goblin slayer, who turns out to be a very smart and interesting character. The season is about exploring this character and some of ... his relations.

Season 2 however, lacks of any of the elements that made Season 1 great. It lacks the crudeness and realism of the first one. It tones down a lot od the darkness and gore, to make it look more like just another generic fantasy anime with monsters. The animation is bad, it focuses and introduces on other characters who are very uninteresting. Things that made the slayer appear smart are traeted like tropes, there's no real tactics or thought behind the fights, they are very simple and bland. There's really nothing interesting to explore, and there's also nothing flashy that confuses you into thinking you are watching some cool anime.

As it stands, it's like a 5/10 anime, but seeing where it stood, the rank goes to the ground.

“I've Always Liked You” is what happens when… honestly? I have no idea. Maybe it’s what happens when You have a metal rod stuck in Your frontopolar cortex and yet someone forces You at gunpoint to write a script.

It’s hard for me to even call this a movie. It’s just a series of scenes stitched together in a chaotic way. There is an overarching motif (confessions) but its execution is so bland You’ll forget about it in an instant.

Let’s get this out of the way. This is one of those cases where the story is plot driven and not character driven. The focus isn’t the ... relationship between characters but just the act of confessing their love. Everything happens not because it makes sense, not because the characters made the best possible decision in their eyes. Everything happens because the plot deems it so. Even if it doesn’t even make a lick of sense.

All the characters are annoying and poorly written. I couldn’t tell You anything about any of them if You held me at gunpoint. Maybe it’s done on purpose. After all, teenagers are annoying twats in most cases. If that’s the reason… 10/10 character design. The main character (and I use that term extremely loosely) is loud, obnoxious and kind of a moron… and also a ripoff of a much better character from “Lovely Complex” (go watch that instead).

Another problem is the amount of characters. There are too many for anyone to actually give a damn and ALL of them are just one trait pumped up to 11 to pretend it’s a personality. We have a shy girl, a shy guy, a friend next door, a ripoff of Risa from “Lovely Complex” (yes, I’m not joking, they are almost 1:1 in design and “character”) etc. You get the idea. None of them get the screen time needed to get invested in them. Even in the more dramatic scenes I felt nothing, because I didn’t care about them. I had no idea who they were as characters. All I knew is their function in the story and that’s not very immersive.

You could easily delete about half of this movie and the plot would stay the same. What’s more strange is that one of the “romances” isn’t even resolved during the movie itself. The resolution is shown during the slideshow with the end credits. Clearly a 300 IQ move. Who would want to get everything in the movie? It’s much better to use the part that most people don’t care about. It’s just so… amateurish. It almost looks like there was no one with experience in actually writing and directing an actual movie.

I have seen and read many stories, in many forms but this script is probably one of the most nonsensical and amateurish I have ever witnessed.

"Hokkaido gals are super adorable" is an absolute abomination of an anime made. It is so bad and abhorrent that you would question your life while watching this piece of garbage.

The plot and the story of this anime is so bad and bland that you would think twice before watching this absolute monstrosity. Basically, the protagonist of the story is a rich ass guy with no sense and humour and with the "MC" priviliges, which makes this show unbearable to watch. The other adorable hokkaido girls are head over heels for this lame ass MC since the author decided so. Its really petty. There is ... no chemistry or bond between the characters. Although its hinted they might have a past connection, it cant really be confirmed from the few episodes that I watched. But even still the dialogues and conversations between the characters are cringe worthy and so out of touch.

Even so this being a total shitshow, I would've still continued to watch the whole thing if it just wasn't as boring as it is. You would rather watch ants running their errands than watching this trash and it would still be more fun.

The art is also very mediocre and nothing special. The op and the ed were alright thus the rating. Otherwise this would have been a 0.

I'm gonna be real, i don't understand this puberty syndrome with the way it's portrayed as a thing that goes into a 200 IQ scientific research so they can solve the problem of being invincible to society. like it just sounds goofy and unreal. it just feels like a fever dream that got adapted into an anime and the MC tries to mimic L from death note with the most random ass logics on earth.

The only reason the MC is helping the bunny girl is because she is hot. like we are not even trying to make an interesting story build up or ... anything, literally just that. How can you take this seriously with these two already dating on episode 2. feels like a tinder hook up gone wrong where the MC tries to get out of the friendzone.

The story of this anime, like the old version, follows the journey of Holo and Lawrence and their political, emotional and ethnic dilemmas, where little by little it develops into a relationship reciprocal of affection through each other's company... That was my first impression when watching this work that, even after years, continues expressively captivating to follow and delve deeper into what it has to offe about your history ...

It's a simple but well-crafted story. The story revolves around Lawrence and Holo, where I could easily describe this anime in one single word and I wouldn't be being reckless : learn. ... Lawrence tends learn about holo, where it came from, its tastes, the legend that revolves around holo and of your tradition. And holo tends to learn about politics, the world, about friendship and freedom. Both they tend to coexist in this way, through actions, speech and companionship; Even with their differences(of race) and upbringing, they nurture a feeling throughout their history of affection that happens naturally and we, the viewers, don't notice and we get caught up in that harmony throughout the episodes trusting that this story will continue to be enjoyable and unique ...
In short: The story of the anime is basically about holo and lawrence on their journey around the world with the intention of saying goodbye later on, however, enjoying the moments of their adventure together through in learning and unique feelings that each one has for the other throughout their journeys.


Personagens: 8
Talking first about the secondary characters, they all tend to have a personality that takes us back to that time (medieval), with their cunning attributes in traders where there is also a sympathy and intelligence. In addition to other characters, some with their traditions and cultures that are present in agriculture and shopping centers , showing a naturalness in the dialogues and transmitting something real that doesn't require "a forced smile or an expression of shame (which is common, unfortunately, in animes)". Therefore, such character writing easily tends to convey curiosities about medieval times with their politics and cultures. Now about holo and lawrence: both were written precisely with unique personalities, lawrence represents the merchant with his lips and intelligence in negotiation, showing the common citizen but persevering, and holo, a fox, who brings with him his legends and times of conflicts between races, with a friendly and soft personality, often showing ease in learning about the world and humans.Both are simple characters, but due to their personalities and the dynamics between them, they manage to convey to the public the affection and sympathy that each one has.


The anime restart: 5
The new animation is good, the scenario for me is sometimes a little strange (maybe because I got attached to the old version of the anime) but it's not that it's bad, on the contrary, it's good. The three episodes that came out in my view were well directed, there's nothing to complain about, but overall they're silly things that over the episodes maybe I'll get used to, but I feel like the colors sometimes turn gray and that's something strange but It could be because I liked the previous version more than this one that I'm seeing errors where there aren't any... Remembering that at the moment I've only seen three episodes of this updated version... Overall I think it's average (it's something subjective)^~^


(I decided to evaluate this anime now, because considering that I have already watched the first two seasons, at most I will have new developments in the direction and animation of the anime, the restart is strange for me, used to it with the other version, not that this one is bad, in fact it's the opposite, it's great, but for personal taste I still prefer the old version, if something was confusing in the spelling or lacked cohesion, the reason is because I'm using it translator at the moment -_-)

I recommend this anime, it's something slow but soft and cozy with a beautiful relationship between holo and Lawrence, the anime brings with it naturalness. Don't expect tense moments like fights or conflicts because this is just an anime about an adventure of fleeting and sentimental moments which, can sometimes delve into world politics and trade negotiations from a medieval it was ^~^... At least that's what the anime conveyed to me, in the old version and also in this one!

The first 4 episodes - what an adrenaline rush! Thrilling fighting scenes, shaky camera, and splashes of blood everywhere. But that's about it. With all the violence stripped away, the main plot of Ninja Kamui was just a clichéd revenge story weaved in some bigger conspiracies.

It's easy to see which audience this anime is target for. From theme to characters, everything screams deja vu. Is it Ninja Slayer? Or maybe John Wick? It doesn’t matter - any of the characters showing up could be traced to a number of prototypes.

The biggest shortcoming of this anime is that it still harbored the ambition to tell a ... complicated and cool story. Unfortunately, when the creators tried to cram too many elements and parties into a story, it’d be too easy to gloss over details, or even explain the logic clearly. Even those impressive fighting scenes, which were supposed to be a highlight of the anime, “elevated” to some high-tech version when the story progressed - and they just didn’t look as exciting.

Soon after finishing this anime, I might completely forget what the plot was about and why the characters were fighting. It's a good time-killer, but not worth watching if you are looking for a persuasive story.

This show is awesome. Animation and fights are top notch. Most the reviews on here are weird people honestly. The show has a score near 8 so the studio clearly made content appealing to their target audience and the reviewers on this site are generally out of touch. If you like action, adult content, and great fight animation you have it all. It's a Ninja Gaiden classic story being remade. Haters gone hate.

For whatever reason to write a review I need ... to use more words even though I described most the suggestions. So I'm writing more words here even though this stipulation is redundant garbage. So here it is again.....

This anime broke my expectations, at first I thought that this anime contained a relaxing anime with cute and funny things but apparently not.

The first thing that confused me was when the MC suddenly found himself in an ancient civilization, there was no explanation whatsoever as to how he ended up there, and after a few minutes passed, Then it will be shown that it is a game world. Please write this as a prologue or introduction at the beginning of the episode so that the audience is not confused!

The second deficiency that disappointed me the most was the voice, yes the character's voice! Before ... watching I hoped that this anime would provide healing from its good characters and cute voice (Loli)
But unfortunately the MC's voice ruined everything, really disappointed me!
How could it not be, seeing the MC wearing a bear costume and two bears in his hands, everyone would expect something cute after seeing it, but after hearing his voice it really doesn't match the characteristics I mentioned earlier.

Apart from that, the storyline is also quite boring, this is too ordinary for an Isekai anime in general.

I loved this show, but you know who loved it even more? My dad. He does not like isekai anime or more like any anime with a weird premise (only a few exceptions) and he always makes fun of me and my mom when we are watching them, just popping by at random moments when we watch shoujo or isekais or slice of life, and this time was no different, we were watching the first episode, and he was (not) sitting at the sofa, just standing there and making sarcastic comments as usual, but then he starts laughing WITH us instead at us. By this ... moment the anime had like 4 or 5 episodes (don't remember, it's been so many months since, I sorta procrastinated this review until I checked there might be a 2nd season, I literally had no hope, even less because it was MAPPA) and we binged them all just commenting on the food and how we can copy some recipes and laughing at Fel (Fel has now become sorta of an inside joke between us).

We looked forward so much to every episode because my mom loves cooking and we, me and my dad, by extension know a lot about food without actually cooking (sorry!) and sometimes we even ate while watching or watched the episode before dinner because we then we'll stay craving more food, we don't even eat that much! Is just that the food looks reeeeeally good and as my dad said: "The MC has an almost eternal resource of food and therefore all the money that comes from it, has protection for that power and good company" he really has it all, it is truly a feel good anime, and we miss it so much, it even convinced my dad to watch other anime with "weird premises" but we still miss the simplicity of "Fel" yes, that's the name for the anime for us because the original one is just too long.

I don't actually think it's a masterpiece, but I am giving it a 10 because of any possible chance that we might get a 2nd season, 3rd season and so on. Come back!! We also miss Sui! Though I have to be honest; we don't remember the MC name...still miss him ig.

Ah yes, the psychopath magic junkie shouta femboy isekai. Since only 3 eps are out, imma keep this short. Had 0 expectations, was pleasantly surprised. It's a super fun shitty isekai, with a bland as fuck premise, but great execution.

This anime isnt the standard 'dense, wimpy limp-dick blushing MC saves everyone and has a harem of stockholm syndrome slave girls guzzling on his meat by ep 3'. It focuses more on the magic aspect, and it just works. The MC is busted and the only thing he gives a shit about is magic. The magic aspects and fight scenes are fucking great, given the ... budget. We get to see some interesting magic animation instead of the usual fucking spinny circles we've been seeing in isekais for the past decade. The comedy lands most of the time, and the chibi artstyle segments are a nice touch. There isn't much to say about other characters/world building so early on, the show is mostly MC focused.

I had a grin on my face nearly the whole team watching this one, it just hits the spot. Other than the big bois(tsukimichi, tensura etc), this looks like the only enjoyable (shitty) isekai this season. If you like OP MCs, shitty isekais, or just want an isekai thats a bit different from the usual, give the femboy isekai a shot.

It was fine. Being involved in the deaf community and working as an interpreter I appreciate that more shows are bringing deaf awareness. However, I’m also a fan of good anime so I’m going to be a little critical.

This anime is an ok romance. I did find the lead characters had a lack of chemistry. Their attraction to one another felt forced, they like each other because they do. It lacked depth. I did like the chemistry between the supporting characters though. I often found myself wanting to skip past the main characters and just watch the supporting characters.

There are so many sappy lines. I ... personally can appreciate them, but when anything is saturated with them it can start making me cringe. And though I feel the lead male was supposed to come off as manly, he often felt like he was just being completely insensitive and disrespectful. Maybe that is what she likes about him? I found myself often feeling like he needs to get lost whenever he made advances. I guess it goes to show that the main difference between a creep and being “sweet” is how handsome the guy is.

Overall, I liked parts of the anime and some episodes the lead characters were enjoyable. But I feel like this anime was carried by the support characters. It is great that it is raising deaf awareness and it was fun seeing and learning some Japanese Sign Language, I just wish it would have been done better.

Entertaining and interesting, but lacking and shallow.

Sasaki and Peeps is the perfect show for when you're mid-flight on Southwest airline going from coast to coast in the US on a Boeing 747 that may or may not have had its emergency exit door blown off a month ago due to "mechanical failure" and "poor maintenance". While in the middle seat between an egregiously overweight couple who are spilling over into your personal space, covering you in their tricep sweat, you can snuggle up comfortably in your warm moist cocoon as you place your phone on your laptable next to your peanuts and coke to immerse ... yourself in the wacky and wonderful world of Sasaki and Peeps.

Why is it the perfect show for such an oddly specific and mildly nauseating situation? This is because neither you nor the couple sandwhich you find yourself between will be able decide whether funny bird cartoon is more interesting and attention-grabbing than the latest news article about another critical mechanical failure on a Boeing airplane.

With the trauma dump over, let's cover the show.

To start, the first episode is a double length feature which covers all of the basic world and character building you need to begin understanding what is happening in Sasaki and Peeps' lives. While this might be a turn off for some, the length is necessary and actually very well-paced as it perfectly lowers you into what is a chaotic mess of a universe. Imagine having to explain a fever dream to a friend where you have a magical talking bird from another world take you under their wing to live a dual life in said other world while teaching you magic, only to come back to the your own world to be recruited by a secret psychic organization that polices other psychics, all while being hunted by magical girls with a vendetta against psychics. That's not an easy task and the production team somehow managed to do all of that while sneaking in nuanced bits of future story and character developments to keep you coming back for more.

However, from Episode 1 on the pacing never really changes and the emotional Rollercoaster of trying to figure out where the hell all of this is going mellows out into a comfy isekai-but-also-not-isekai show. It is mildly disappointing since now there's a fairly large disconnect between the two main worlds of the series, Isekai and Not Isekai, since it's not realistically possible to tell a cohesive story or plotline in either without devoting several episodes, making it all feel like an appeal point than a crucial plot device. That's not to say it isn't well-written and interesting, it's just that there's so much density to the information and story that I think even the Light Novel, having not read it yet, probably struggles to contain and organize it all.

But given all of this it is a breath of fresh air that the characters are written fairly competently and make rational decisions in such an unrational setting. Everyone has a goal and role that they play with different tools to achieve them, and a lot of their scheming and machinations when revealed show no major illogical leaps purely for the sake of progressing the plot. My only complaints are that the limited screen time make a lot of them feel one-note in personality and desire, and everyone is written like how a middle-aged man sees them and hopes they act.
There are no major deviations from expectations which while grounding the story does take away slightly from the excitement.

Now as for recommending the show, I do. It's entertaining and intriguing enough to want to see what happens next, while just strange and normal enough that the strangers on each of your shoulders don't get what's going on but think "The pink bird with a star is cute". It's a little more on the closeted weeb side of the anime spectrum, but sits comfortably in the "I wouldn't mind if my parents walked in on me watching this" section.

We are really scraping the bottom of the barrel here, aint we? Every season we get to see the same trash, but someone it gets worse every time. I've watched over 200 isekais, this is, and I don't say this lightly, the most garbage one I've seen so far. Welcome, to AI's first attempt at creating an isekai from scratch (or thats what it feels like).

It's quite an achievement actually, this isekai manages to be absolutely dogshit in EVERY aspect. Don't get me wrong, I don't have high expectations, it doesn't take much to keep me entertained. While writing this, I actually just tried to ... think of a single fucking redeeming quality of anime for like 5 straight minutes. N o t h i n g . The male lead is not only an extremely boring self insert, but is completely devoid of charisma, and also just dumb? (No seriously, how do you fuck up a copy paste isekai protagonist??) I'm not even going to go into the side characters, there are just there to glaze the mc and have the collective IQ of an eraser. The plot? Were you expecting one? Too bad, there isn't one. I usually don't say anything about animation quality, but, I kid you not when I say the first ever 'Anime', The Dull Sword, from 1917, had better animation. Calling the animation a Power Point Presentation would be generous. The character design is laughably uninspired, the action scenes are just, pan left, pan right, zoom out, followed by stock sound effects.

I'm not going to say the usual 'Oh well, only 3 episodes are out, it's too early to judge, it might get better'. No. If this anime was thrice as good as it is now, it would barely enter the 'so bad its good' territory. This anime has 0 potential. It is, and will continue to be, an utterly dogshit, unentertaining, insult of an anime that will be dropped by most people and forgotten. Stay away, it's a waste of time.

If you're looking for something to put on a background only to find yourself a couple of episodes later just looking at the screen, experiencing positive emotions -- this show is definitely for you.
Both seasons are quite similar: engaging plot, captivating insanity, and nicely-written (and developed!) characters you don't like as people but love as personas.
As for the rating, I would say 9 for the first one and 10 for this: but, of course, both will have an automatic -2 for the fanservice -- I truly believe this greatness could've been made without it or at least with a limited amount.
Art style: enjoyable, energetic, and ... vibrant, even the close-shot faces feel coherent, although they could be not everyone's cup of tea.
I never look at openings/endings while rating since they flop in 90% of all anime, becoming just a part that you skip right away and both seasons here are no different -- but really, who cares?
Imho the thing that solidified the original 10/10 rating for this season lands, possible spoiler!, in the middle of episode 10. Audibly gasped, rewinded a couple of times, smiling... Truly beautiful.
Overall, an easy one-nighter, one-breather, onederful.

The story is pretty straightforward forward and the characters don't have as much depth, drama, and plot tbh. I feel like the first few episodes impressed me and I wanted to watch more of it. But it is a shame that that ninja lore with the justu and all that have mostly gone away. In favor of those armor things that were cool in the beginning when I first saw them but now I just kind of hate them because we aren't seeing real hand-to-hand combat anymore and that is just disappointing. Also, the CG is really bad and looks bad.

MAR is a series that embodies a lot of the worst qualities of shounen anime and brings nothing new to the table. Almost immediately, the story steers itself into a ditch with an interminable Tournament Arc that lasts well over half the run of the series. While there are a handful of decent moments in the 70 or so "X vs Y" episodes that follow, most of it is an agonizing waiting game, slogging through one utterly predictable fight after the next, with no sign of plot progression for dozens of episodes at a time. When the end of the Tournament Arc blessedly arrives though, ... the story fully goes off the rails into an extended denouement that is totally confused, full of questionable narrative choices and other decisions that make it apparent that they had no real plan for where to take this story beyond the Tournament Arc. The ending is heavily telegraphed and feels unsatisfying when it arrives, both because of the middling story content and the sense that it probably should have wrapped up about 20 episodes earlier than it did.

The writing is juvenile and character motivations are thin and riddled with cliches (oh, you want to become stronger so you can protect everyone's smiles? I've never heard that line before). Action scenes are often boring due to the lackluster animation - likely a necessary sacrifice to produce weekly TV for 2 years straight, but that's hardly an excuse when it cuts into the core appeal of an action anime. More unforgivably, the CGI used to animate the summoned Guardians is absolutely hideous and badly composited to boot. These are supposed to be the most powerful weapons a person can wield, but they have all the visual majesty of a guy summoning some stray PS2 assets. The character designs are also uninspired and feel like a conscious attempt to mimic Dragon Ball. See if you can count how many boys with similarly spiky hair are in this series.

So what was actually good about this show? Well there isn't much, to be frank. Dorothy is a pretty fun side character, though her obsession with the main character can be overbearing. The relationship between Dorothy and Diana (left vague to stay spoiler free) is one of the few compelling plot threads on offer here. Every once in a while, you'll get an interesting battle when 2 people have special abilities that combine in a unique way, though the obviousness of the outcome of every fight dampens any thrill you might get from that.

Overall, I can't say my time was well spent watching this thing to its conclusion. I recommend simply skipping it, but if you are at all curious and inclined to give it a chance, watch until the first fight of the War Game and you'll know by then if this series is going to do anything for you.

The best way to start Berserk that's not the manga, any other version is heavily cut and/or poorly executed. If you're aren't a manga reader at all this series probably will change that in you.

The stage:

Long before the medieval novels' break out (mostly because of isekai demand) there was Berserk, simple times with no extraordinary unfitting technology or stats, skills and menu windows all over the board that the based-on MMORPG-like gernre carries. Somewhat inciting the otherworldy without forcing it up your throat. Mercenaries, kingdoms, bloodshed and frictions within the nobility. This fantasy is written in red.

Presentation:

A very well performed classic animation even by its ... time, flowing in battles, detailed in conversations and always with a matching tone for each scene. The art style is greatly portrayed, the art direction shines even in the backgrounds and effects like explotions, weapon clashes and repentine movement do not feel off. This series got away with little censorship around mature content without being cheap as each of these displays derives from the plot and adds to it.

The narrative

Story:

Well paced, leaving you with short and long term intrigue, suspense and a bitter-sweet feeling as the series inquires you to look at the colors rather than just black & white situations.

Characters

The animated representators feel pretty much genuine, each with their personality and peculiarities that mostly never betray what you'd expect from them in their actions, decitions, reactions, speech and ideologies.

Interactions

Each dialogue and event grows naturally and fluently; anger, patience, grudges, pity, lust, despair, greed, egolatry, possesiveness, and whatnot are delivered in a way that makes you know more and more of this land, each character and the bonds that are, will and could be.

Final retrospective:

This series is not a 10 just because it doesn't do full justice to the drawn novel (basically because of mostly, storywise faithfullness, and secondly the harsh depiction of human/in-human behavior in such enviroments), yet is the better in-motion introduction you can watch of it as of this review was made. It dives in many subjects that even if developed in an ancient-like age scenary, some could still be apply by today's standards, and grips you into a fiction that more often than not keeps you at the edge.

Sentouin, Hakenshimasu! is a fairly average anime that prioritizes comedy above all else to the point of recklessness. The animation and visuals stand out the most, especially in action scenes where the animation feels particularly stiff, most likely to reduce costs, with much of the action seemingly occurring off-screen. But fear not, for amidst the chaos and confusion, there's a saving grace: this anime is downright hilarious. With jokes that hit harder than a punchline and characters so sexy they could make your screen sizzle, the anime delivers the laughs and the eye candy in equal measure. Despite its lack of many typical enjoyable elements, ... Sentouin, Hakenshimasu! manages to exceed expectations with its quick pacing and occasional moments of genuine character development, ultimately captivating viewers with its expressive comedy and memorable characters.

Sousou no Frieren is absolutely packed with great, unique ideas. Every episode is full of interesting intricacies the world has to offer. There is tremendous care put into the lore, giving us information in little pieces, which makes it organic instead of just being an empty info dump. And in all this, there are universally applicable insights to be found throughout, none of them being your typical shallow platitudes – there's truly touching and inspirational beauty all over. It really is constructed like a profound work of art, tackling various subjects in a poetic way. And I think the fact that everything feels so poetic ... and artistic elevates Frieren to such a high status. The thematic profundity is complemented by the gorgeous visuals, often interweaving the present with the past and building upon it, showing certain themes in a new context for Frieren, and developing her personality as she learns how to appreciate life.

But it is also just incredibly fun to watch. The fight scenes are insanely well-done, being a cut above many action-focused shounens. You wouldn't think a show so dialogue-heavy and emotional would go so hard in terms of the animation. The grain effect also adds onto this fantasy atmosphere, making one feel like they are truly experiencing an entirely different world. Madhouse really delivered. And I've mentioned it before, but everything feels beautifully rich, organic, and believable. Many anime series just randomly insert all these fantasy elements on a whim whenever they want to add something cool. Frieren on the other hand has constructed a coherent landscape of different nations, races, professions, and rules governing it all, while also staying cool as fuck. I am absolutely invested in everything this world has to offer.

Despite all the action sequences, Frieren is, as I said, dialogue-heavy. To me this is a great thing - at times it allows the anime to breath, and at times it builds everything up as it feels like every word holds weight and steadily reveals more and more. Even when there are jokes, they are very heartfelt and showcase the personality of the characters without dumbing them down. It's a pleasure to experience an anime that understands people (or rather living creatures in this case) and feels truly human, putting care and heart into everything.

I'm glad Frieren has received such a positive reception and people see it as a masterpiece that it is. It's crazy what a well-written fantasy can achieve. I love everything it conveys, and I cannot wait to see more.

He adventures, has fun and most importantly studies magic.
You might be wondering then why give such high scores.
Answer -
The pace of this anime is amazing. They have 2 minutes kept entirely for chibi/fun.
The rest of it is high paced intense story progression.
There is humor, action, magic and for some reason unknown to mankind (harem element).

And the MC actually uses his past knowledge to be better even as a kid.
... Instead of trying to start from scratch like an amoeba.

They waste no time. No dragging on of plot. More happened in 3 episodes of this anime than would have happened in 12 episodes of an average isekai.

Bad bad bad

Title: Kami wa Game ni Ueteiru (The God Is Playing a Game)

Story Uniqueness: While the premise of gods interacting with humans through a game is intriguing, the execution falls short. The story lacks uniqueness and fails to engage the audience effectively.

Art Style: Unfortunately, the art style is one of the worst I’ve encountered. The visuals failed to capture the essence of the narrative, and the character designs needed significant improvement.

Character Development: The characters in this series are disappointingly one-dimensional. They lack depth, and their flaws outweigh any strengths they might possess. Better character drawings could have elevated their impact.

Realistic Reactions: The characters’ reactions ... to situations and events feel forced and unrealistic. Whether it’s their interactions with each other or their responses to challenges, the authenticity is lacking.

Audience Appeal: If you’re a fan of the god vs. human genre, you might find some enjoyment in this anime. However, for most viewers, the dull storytelling, subpar art, and unimpressive characters make it a forgettable experience.

In summary, “Kami wa Game ni Ueteiru” fails to deliver on its potential, leaving viewers wanting more substance and creativity.

In my opinion Boogiepop and others is nothing too special. It does not live up to boogiepop Phantom. Largely due to its lack of incredible soundtrack/design and distinct aesthetic Style that are present in Phantom. Additionally, although Boogie pop and others has more episodes, it is telling four different stories that are only Loosely connected, none of which are as good the single story told Boogiepop Phantom.

The whole point of boogiepop is that it is told in an abstract way, it has a bunch of characters and a bunch of different stuff that happens to them, and you aren't necessarily supposed to put ... it all together instantly. The characters are also given very realistic designs which means there's nothing visually distinguishing for a lot of the characters. After I finished watching Boogie pop Phantom I was able to make connections that I didn't pick up on while I was Originally watching, for me this enhanced that show by making it all come together, once I understood what was happening. Although this show was longer it seems as though there is less connections to go back and make, because it's telling multiple stories that aren't really connected. From my current understanding only the main characters of Boogiepop and the other girl are relevant to stories outside the first and last one. I'm sure there are connections that I missed although I have little inspiration to go and rewatch as it would only help to understand that small section as opposed to the whole story, So the story doesn't all come together, Even if everything is understood. And the universe isn't interesting enough or explained enough to allow these stories to stand on their own. I know that the original Source material is capable of creating something so much better, as was proven 20 years earlier, I'm not sure why they changed the distinct style to look like every other anime.

The intro is kind of odd and only relates to like sort of the Second Story, it doesn't really serve as a good Overture for the series. Also Boogiepop kisses with Meeoshta, which is herself, And this is not explained at any point and doesn't really work with the story because Of what is revealed about Boogie pops jealousy.

There are certain aspects of the show that I did enjoy, the way in which the story is told, the weird form of Storytelling I often times found enjoyable, some of the abilities are sort of interesting, oftentimes character dialogue would point out profound and interesting aspects of the story, There was a fair amount of high quality poetic conversation, often times the way that they talked was cool but what they were talking about was not that interesting Or relevant. I thought the building that the last story takes place in was a pretty interesting original concept, unfortunately it didn't feel like they fully expanded on the building aspect, I honestly wanted the building to start moving, I'm not sure how much this would have helped the story but it would have definitely helped my enjoyment of it, as I of course have an affiliation for anime architecture. I think without Boogie pop Phantom I would have a negative opinion of this show but because this show didn't really take away from Boogie pop Phantom it currently barely sneaks out an average opinion from me. For now.

'Hell Girl',this anime started pretty well but soon fell off with the same cliche content in each episode.At first the concept of vengeance and it's price felt really well written but my breaking point was Episode 10,the entire episode was really bad,they could've really showed us the meaning of reconciliation and trust in each other and sometimes that revenge is not the answer and the episode was heading in that very direction but at the end it didn't happen.
In my opinion they could've really showed this in a more noble and idealistic way rather than the same thing over and over.
... As for recommendation, I would recommend this anime if you want to experience the same plot with nothing new in each episode.If you're looking for a show with more fulfilling aspects and well written outcome at the end,then this is not for you.

Could have been better.

This anime started off so strong. I was hooked right away. It's rather sad and lonely, but soon the main protagonist finds a companion who is in a similar situation as her. Sora is a treat I didn't know I needed. He is adorable and I'd give anything to see his stoic expression every morning.

Anyway. The first half of the anime is about struggling, survival and wonder. It is this that made me fall in love with it.
Then came in the second half and I still did enjoy my time watching it. It just kind of threw away most of ... what I liked in the first half and replaced it with a "big bad". There is some interesting parts to it, but it's mostly just a very basic story-line with no emotional investment and a whole ONE confrontation. It is so bland the writers themselves forgot to tell us what the motives of the "big bad" even were after all was done and finished. If you think about it a little it just doesn't make any sense at all. They really dropped the ball on that one.

At least the last episode kind of made up for the dullness and gave me a tear jerker of an ending.

For people who have already read the Manwha and are curious about the animation, Episode 5,6 and 11,12 are my recommendations. You get the best of the anime there. For everyone else, give it a 3 episode rule and see if you vibe with it.

What you can expect is a journey of a weak person into becoming strong not through abusing a mechanic or cheat but through sheer grit and willpower, along with ofcourse a great many strong foes to overcome.

Now to the actual review:

The most popular Manwha out there, the Power Fantasy of Power Fantasies. I read and finished the Manwha and it was ... a fun ride. Though by no means I'll call it a masterpiece for art is more to it than just flashy power trips and Solo Levelling suffers greatly from cardboard characters and paper thin personalities. However, the anime is not the same as the manwha and I think in a good way, since the anime has done more to delve into the side characters and Jin Woo's Psyche compared to the source material which imo was just balls to the walls power fantasy, while here Solo levelling shows the journey and growth of a once weak and powerless Jin Woo now going through hardship to become stronger and face progressively stronger foes. I think a 3 episode rule will give it a fair shake for everyone to decide whether they like this or not. I see many people who hate it because its a Power Fantasy or a Video Game inspired Magic System which they don't like, I mean yeah anime taste is subjective. If you don't like it, that's fine. That said, I personally enjoyed watching Solo Levelling, especially with Food. The Igris Fight at Episode 11 and 'ARISE' in Episode 12 is great.

I usually watch anime at 2x speed since most of the times they either bore me or the pacing drags on. However anime that impresses through engaging plot developments and emotionally climatic moments often have me slow down and watch it more closely. Usually reserved for masterpieces like FMAB, Steins Gate or AoT. I oddly found myself really enjoying Solo Levelling.

Anyway, onto my objective assessment. You can refer to my profile for more details:

Rubric 1: Arts and Fun = Entertaining & Artistic Merit = 2/2 points
Originally I would have given it a 1/2 since the Artistic merit is nothing new. However, you have to understand this Manwha is really old and predates SAO in the video game fantasy genre. That said, despite the aged context of the plot the anime does a really great job of portraying Jin Woo's evolution from being weak & powerless to being a strong, ruthless and often times cold blooded hunter. In future context of the plot it also sets the elements for the future plot in motion pretty well too. Plus the production value is pretty good, as such I'm happy to award it artistic merit since It managed to iterate over the existing material and improve it.

Rubric 2: Recommendation = It's a really fun time if the premise doesn't turn you off = 2/2 point
I understand people who don't like Power Fantasies or Video Game Mechanics in anime, calling it creatively bankrupt or whatever. However, I disagree on the creative bankruptcy part. Good stories can be told through any means and media, utilizing game like mechanics is only bad if the anime does little to explain any of it assuming 'you know it already' which is what I'd call mooching off others work. But I digress, I'd recommend Solo Levelling with the idea that if you enjoy Power Fantasy, you will love it as its a slow ascent to power and then balls to the walls power trip, however I definitely think Jin Woo right now when he is still weak in contrast to the absurdities in the later manwha still has a journey of overcoming your limits that is quite a treat to see. You can't just solve all your problems by grinding, you need to pick your battles and push yourself beyond your limits. So basically, I found it fun and I think you might too so give it a chance and see if it vibes with you.

Rubric 3: Narrative Consistency = Completely Flawless = 2/2 points
Narrative consistency I define is the idea that anywhere in the story, you can stop and ask How, What, Why, When, Where and you should be able to answer that without any confusion. Atleast as far as the anime has progressed there isn't a concern with the flow of the story and thus the narrative consistency is sound. This makes it easy to follow and tracking Jin Woo's progression and growth is really fun and rewarding.

Rubric 4: Emotional Moments = Has atleast 1 emotional moment = 2/2 point
An emotional moment is something that evokes an immense intensity of emotions:
Happiness (You are happy and smile in joy)
Saddens (A scene makes you sob)
Thought Provoking (A scene that makes you think very deeply)
Memorable/Iconic (A scene unlike any other that will stick with you)

A good example of an emotional moment is United States of Smash by All Might in My Hero Academia, also Endeavour VS Nomu fight from the same.

The Serpent Fight in Episode 4, The Ending and the incredibly direct reference in Episode 12 along with Arise all served up enough Emotional Moments to justify the upgrade to 7 points

Rubric 5: Personal Bias = Does not cater to my biases = 0/2 points
I like 3 things:
1 = History (If the anime has a rich lore or is inspired by actual history and adheres to it)

2 = Idealogue (The anime jostles with deep and thought provoking topics like the Idea of a King or the Concept of Freedom and Justice, and tries its best to explore or deconstruct)

3 = Magic Systems (Be it a hard magic system defined by rules like FMAB's Law of Equivalent Exchange, or a Soft Magic System that is more mysterious like bending in Avatar the Last Airbender)

The History and World Building is incredibly surface level, we don't know much about the world beyond its pretty much the modern world and then the gates arrive and we get Hunters etc. Wasted potential there..
Idealogue is surface level in the anime, it does deal with the psychology of strength and what it means to kill someone to lose a part of yourself, but it doesn't really go into any depth about it. Just an acknowledgement and moving on. However, later in the Manwha Solo Levelling explores other themes but I won't discuss them here since it's not relevant (yet).
The Magic System is incredibly bare bones, you Level up in a way you do in RPGs and get stat points to allocate and skills and items and stuff. Aside from plot relevant and surface level information and comparisons, it really doesn't dive in deep to flesh out the entire system. I won't say anything about it, but this is a plot point thats relevant later in the story However or now the 'Magic System' is sadly surface level and not properly fleshed out. Jin Woo can get skills and items and stuff all in a matter of convenience. Sanderson said in his Laws of Magic that 'Magic is best known through it's Limitations rather than Capabilities' meaning it is more interesting to know what are the limitations of a given system and have your characters problem solve with that in mind. FMAB's Law of Equivalent Exchange is a masterclass in this, we know the cost of doing anything must come equally in payment. In Solo Levelling, constraints are dynamic and often only show up in context of scenarios or plot complications, there is no overall law that governs hard rules of what constitutes what can and cannot be done which adds too loose of a definition in terms of Power Scaling. But eh I'm rambling, point is the Magic System of SL is surface level serviceable, not the sort I particularly like hence I can't award any points here.

Review:

"Dekisokonai to Yobareta Motoeiyuu wa Jikka kara Tsuihou sareta node Sukikatte ni Ikiru Koto ni Shita" promised an intriguing premise, but unfortunately, its execution falls flat in every possible way. From the very first episode, it became evident that this anime was going to be a struggle to sit through.

Let's start with the animation quality - or rather, the lack thereof. Scenes are poorly drawn, characters lack consistency in design, and the animation is choppy at best. It feels like watching a slideshow rather than a ... fluid, engaging story. Even worse, the animation quality seems to degrade with each passing episode, which is a massive disappointment for any viewer hoping for improvement.

Moving on to the plot, it's a mess. While the initial concept had potential, the storytelling quickly devolves into a convoluted mess of clichés and nonsensical developments. Characters lack depth and motivation, making it impossible to connect with them on any level. Subplots are introduced and promptly forgotten, leaving viewers bewildered and unsatisfied.

The dialogue is equally uninspired, filled with exposition dumps and cringeworthy attempts at humor that fall completely flat. It's as if the script was hastily thrown together without any regard for coherence or entertainment value.

To top it all off, the sound design is abysmal, with jarring sound effects and forgettable background music that fails to set the mood or enhance the viewing experience in any way.

In conclusion, "Dekisokonai to Yobareta Motoeiyuu wa Jikka kara Tsuihou sareta node Sukikatte ni Ikiru Koto ni Shita" is a prime example of wasted potential. With its atrocious animation, lackluster plot, and overall poor production quality, this anime is best avoided. Save yourself the frustration and skip this one entirely.

STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e 3rd Season was a solid continuation from what preceded it, the quality was definitely kept up even if this season was less exciting than the previous two imo. Ayanokouji continues to be a really interesting character and it's great to see his development as the episodes go on, a few other characters went through some major development too this season which I really enjoyed, it's cool to have a cast that's fairly large like this but to still give time to allow them to develop. With the first year now concluding in the story I'm very interested to ... see what happens next considering how much has been set up for the next season (whenever it may come out), without going into detail there were some really interesting things brought up even just in the finale and I cannot wait to explore them at some point.

The art and animation continue to be solid this season, I do enjoy the artstyle of this show a lot and the same goes for the character designs. Soundtrack was great as well, ZAQ absolutely killing it with the OP as usual (when will she ever miss). Overall this was a fun watch and certainly worth keeping up with if you're caught up with the rest, I will certainly be reading the light novels soon depending on when the next season is announced for!

“The Unwanted Undead Adventurer” is what happens when You have a solid premise and execution.

One day an adventurer is killed by a dragon. He did not perish however. He regains consciousness in a skeleton body. Not sure what to do he begins to wander the dungeon he’s in. Through sheer coincidence he discovers that he can get more powerful by killing other monsters. Remembering his friend's lecture about monsters and evolution he decides to evolve to a creature most similar to a human. After helping a newbie adventurer he acquires some cloth that covers the fact that he’s an undead and heads back ... home.
From that moment he takes on jobs to help out people and to become more powerful to evolve into a vampire.

“The Unwanted Undead Adventurer” is a character driven (actually character driven, not just an excuse for some lame action scenes) action-adventure fantasy show that uses the daily grind of its protagonist to tell its story.

The protagonist is Rentt Faina - a 25 year old veteran adventurer that dies and gets turned into an undead. In life he spent 10 years as an adventurer but never really accomplished anything great. He did however help a lot of newbies to be better adventurers and even took some jobs, not for money but for the fact of helping someone. Yes, he’s just a nice guy. Unfortunately that seems to be a trope that won’t die anytime soon so let’s just accept that and move on. God knows I could write a doctoral thesis why it’s bullshit.

There are other recurring characters but they are just there so Rentt will have birds to bounce off of, give info dumps or to just change the pase. There is one who matters to him as a person but she’s mostly useless in the grand schemes of things.

Unlike a lot of fantasy shows this one takes a different approach to tell its story. Because of its slower pace (for most of the time… I’ll get to that) it has a very slice of life feel to it. There isn’t a big, overarching plot point (except maybe evolution) but a lot of small (mostly lasting 1-2 episodes) plots. Most have the same structure. Rent takes a quest, he meets the employer, struggles (not really) and accomplishes his goal. It’s not a terrible structure, the quests he embarks on are different enough that You don’t mind the first part that much. What I do mind is that a lot of the time (mainly in the second half of the show) there isn’t shown HOW he deduces something or conquers an obstacle. It is painfully visible with the maze and earlier with the monster of the lake. The first one is infuriating because the task was difficult, he defeated it but no one from the writing team decided that mauve they shoes fucking SHOW HOW! The second one is annoying because it could show how Rentt’s mind works. Unfortunately the reason he was right is because… the plot demanded it. There were numerous conclusions one could have based on the clues he had. Nope. The plot demands he be right and by the Almighty Robot Policeman (That’s a Borderlands The Pre Sequel reference) he will be right. Even if that means he will be right with little clues. Yes, he used his knowledge well but he is living (unliving?) proof that weird shit happens in this world. He could have (and I think he should have) been wrong. Honestly, he's always right and his actions have no negative consequences for anyone.

Another moment when writing annoyed me was when at one point Rentt is experimenting with his abilities by activating all the types of “magic” he can use at the same time, something that is even said by him to require a master, and the mofo did it. Granted he did struggle a bit but the fact that someone who most of his life had little power is able to do things that require mastery is absurd. He got a new body that did empower him, but didn’t grant him new skill levels. At that point I got worried that the show would devolve into another bullthis OP AF MC type of story. Unfortunately it did. Not that it hasn't given an unfair, and not exactly earned, powerup to Rentt before but it at least pretended to keep it moderate. Fortunately it never fell to the basement level of something like Sword Art Online.

My gripe is that for someone who spent all his life being cautious, he became rather reckless too fast in my opinion. That said, from a certain point in the story, the fights aren’t really a focus in the plot so maybe getting them over quickly isn’t such a bad idea.
That said, let’s give credit where credit is due. Rentt is a pretty solid, evolving (pun intended) character. The Rentt we get at the end of episode 12 isn’t the same we got in episode 1. In more than one way. It’s really nice to see when writers actually care about their character in a character driven story.

Honestly? I enjoyed this show a lot more than I thought I would. It’s not groundbreaking in any sense of the word, the writing has a pacing problem and the MC is just a point above generic when it comes to his character, but the execution is enjoyable. The character designs are solid, even if some are generic to the point I thought they were ripoffs, and the premise itself is pretty cool. As long as You don’t think too much about the fact that our hero has a goal but absolutely no plan and just rolls with "life", You can have fun with this one.

Another season,another fantasy anime,with yet another ridiculously strong MC that can blow the roof of a mansion and split the sky since he was still a fetus.

BUT WHOA WHOA WHOA,SURELY THERE'S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS AND ANOTHER FANTASY ANIME... right?

there is, it's the MC itself, instead of going with the usual black haired MC with the most average looking physique and the most average looking face,they decide to make him a somewhat feminine looking shota with masochistic tendencies.

"Ooooh there's a powerful looking creature,attack me with all you got"


"Oh this demon makes my finger bleed,let me just lick this blood off my finger in the most ... sexual and teasing way possible while asking him for more"

Safe to say this anime doesn't really holdback much when it comes to fan service,that is not only delivered by the heroines but also the MC as well.

The plot barely different from any other fantasy anime although it's important to be noted that this is not an isekai,because the MC is not reincarnated into a different world but he's reincarnated into the same world,just different time.


The animation is far from bad, it's colorful and vibrant,and they definitely put thoughts and love in designing the characters, especially in some "parts" but other than that,very average.

Is it worth your time ? Probably not but if you are happen to like a story where sadistic and masochistic sexy boy butchering his opponents like ants with his god-like magic while being accompanied by smoking hot heroines,give this one a try.

Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi is a show that was honestly a lot better than I was expecting it to be, by no means was I blown away or completely invested but for what it was I certainly did have a good time. The main two girls really did carry this show (along with Fuyuki's mother gaw damn), they were always such fun in basically every scene and I really liked getting to learn more about them. However as is the usual issue with shows like this the main character really did hold back a lot of my enjoyment, I really don't understand why so ... many anime are led by essentially a blank slate of a character who does the absolute bare minimum and almost doesn't even seem to think for themselves meanwhile they're surrounded by legitimately interesting characters who are well-written and fun. Like you've proven you can write good characters why isn't your protagonist one? Idk it really irks me because so much more could have happened throughout this but if you look back at it there was barely any development since the first episode we meet each character which is why I'm very glad the girls were as good as they were. There was really a lot of room for certain scenes to go certain ways or just for things to actually like happen but they never really did which did start annoying me a bit towards the end unfortunately. I did really like the art in this show though, it was all very pretty and colourful and I thought the designs of the main girls were really cool too I loved a lot of the outfits and whatnot.

Overall this was a fun watch just don't go into it expecting a masterpiece, the girls really did carry but they remained fun to watch from start to finish and that's really all you need from this show so I'd recommend for an easy watch!

ART:
I felt like I was seeing a Disney animation, 100 Dalmatians.
The details behind every gear must have made the animators spend a lot of time.
The scenes inside the moving tower, with those elaborate doorways, full of gears, deserve a 10.

Who will be able to put an end to this quarrel?... The nephew. The future of the world in ... the hands of young people is what I have always believed in, and still believe in. Those who watch anime should feel like heroes of their own lives, like Ray, even if I think this anime didn't convey this message in the best possible way. It's not inspiring enough.

A man-made creation that has warped the world into a hellish place
a phenomenon that transforms humans into something other than human when they reach a certain age
a journey of a group of girls on a train through a post-apocalyptic world to find their friend.
this anime combines three plot points that could each stand alone as separate stories, yet remarkably, it works.

The story revolves around an accident where a 7G network warped reality, turning Earth into a post-apocalyptic world. In the subsequent years, the same accident also caused some humans to transform into animals that can talk. On the other side, a group of ... girls discovers that their friend, who is essentially the one responsible for the accident, is still alive. Determined to find her, they embark on a journey by train.

The plot sounds like a fever dream, it's basically feels like when you are asleep and having a weird dream yet nobody wakes you up so it goes on and on and on,which also make this anime a very great mystery anime, because not only we don't know what the fck is going on,the characters also don't know what the fuck is going on, and the fact that it's an original story makes it even better.

The music and animation add depth to the viewing experience. The portrayal of the world's end in this anime is hauntingly beautiful, conveying a sense of serenity tinged with underlying dread.

An original show with a genuinely unique plot, it's definitely worth watching.

SPICE AND WOLF IS BACK BAAAABBBBYYY.

This series is near and dear to my heart, and more likely the same to most of you. For a number of reasons. It's more likely one of your first animes that you've finished. Or read for that matter. Or at the very least, one of the few series you remember seeing around as a kid. As for new faces, they'll be welcomed to the gem that is this series. Spice and Wolf deserves not only a watch, but deserves to be red, to be appreciated, and so much more.

Story and characters: 9
You might look at the premise, and how ... it's presented, and sure, a thought might be that with 'so many action packed anime, why does an anime centered around harvest, and merchant business tricks, the church practices, get so much rave reviews?' To put it simple, it's down to the world itself, but also Lawrence and Holo themselves. Holo is a treat herself, wise as her name suggests. But Lawrence really comes off as a solid character, that only gets greater as the show goes along. But most of all, the pairing between them, is stand alone such an excellent pairing, that sure, will have bumps in the road, but experiencing every inch of it's story and contents, not only makes for such a well written story, but such deep and well written characters to boot.

The story will have many hooks, twists and turns, that'll be quite a watch from start to finish. It'll be one of the stand outs of the season for a reason, and a large part of that is the story.

Art and sound: 8
Any time I think of this series in terms of the Art and Sound. I always have flashbacks to that opening, which I'd honestly rank so highly, as that OP will always be one of my favorites, hell might be my favorite opening of all time. This adaptation's version is stellar in itself. As you can tell there has been a lot of effort and detail has gone into the product of the whole entire musical aspect. Really capturing the vibe of this show. But not only that, there is a certain charm about it. A charm that really gets you hooked on Spice and Wolf as a concept, and the show itself. Presentation is very key after all. They have to hit it out the part, as making a new adaption, will bring to joy to long term fans, but also put it on a spotlight for new fans who'll get into this series. While it's not breath taking by any chance, but it's quality of production has really done the business. To actually finish it from start to finish, which this series so rightly deserves. It's art, producing, and sound are making a solid start, which will only grow and grow over time. A great job all round.


So, so so glad that Spice and Wolf has returned, I couldn't be happier, and many will enjoy this gem all over again, and get even more love that it so rightly deserves. Watch it now!

After the series and the 1st movie, this is an odd one out. Not necessarily in a bad way, but it sets an unrealistic expectation. It's pretty much like any other storyline in the series or the 1st movie, but there's much less happening, not many twists. It's easier to treat this movie as slice of life, this way it's really pleasant and a good extension to the story told so far.

Just like in the previous realeases the characters are mostly well written, there's development for the characters that the movie focuses on.

If you're interested in the series/1st movie you should watch it, but don't ... come in expecting too much emotions or twists to the story, treat it as slice of life. I'd argue that even at 1 hour 13 minutes it could've been made shorter.

The first installment of Mushoku Tensei II: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu falls short of expectations. While it maintains visual and animation standards akin to the prior season, it notably reduces the intensity and quantity of its action sequences. Instead, the focus shifts towards exploring interpersonal dynamics and emotions. Although this shift isn't inherently negative, Part 1 unfolds at a noticeably slower pace. Additionally, several of the new characters are introduced to the series through supplementary side content rather than within the primary storyline. Apart from Rudeus’s introspective journey and trauma resolution, the core storyline lacks substantial content, adding to the sluggish pacing of the installment. ... Moreover, Mushoku Tensei II: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Part 1 fails to propel the story forward significantly, marking a low point in the overall series.

Option 1: Drawing a '10-year-old female protagonist' and giving her a 'Thinner waist and wider hips than supermodels, add massively thick thighs.'

Option 2: Drawing a '10-year-old male protagonist' and giving him a 'Thinner waist and wider hips than supermodels, add massively thick thighs.'

So, which one sounds normal? The answer should be quite clear: none of them.

This spring season is stacked with promising starts to multiple new shounen animes, the return of the four most popular isekai shows, and remakes of 'Spice and Wolf' and 'Bartender,' which have had smooth starts so far. Amidst this flurry of activity, how can an anime stand out? Well, making ... a shota protagonist with bizarre body proportions is probably the last thing that comes to mind when searching for an answer to that question. Yet, here we are...

Plot (6/10):

One of the most intriguing aspects of this show is that it isn't an isekai; it's simply based on the theme of reincarnation. The protagonist dies and reincarnates in the same world, and as the title suggests, he reincarnates as the 7th prince. Our protagonist is depicted as somewhat insane when it comes to anything related to magic, and he is exceptionally powerful on top of that. He can defeat pretty much anyone he faces without a hitch, and maids love him; almost any female character he encounters falls for him (or I should rather say that they get obsessed with him). That is essentially how the story unfolds.

I have to rate the 'Art' and 'Animation' separately for this anime, and there is a clear reason behind why I am doing that.

Animation (8/10):

This anime has numerous action scenes, all executed with precision. Fight sequences are captivating, and the visual effects have been impressive thus far. So, the animation is definitely up to par, considering this is not one of those 'popular' series with a relatively much bigger budget that everyone eagerly anticipates. It easily surpasses a handful of new fantasy shows airing this spring in terms of production quality.

Art (3/10):

Let's revisit the beginning of this review. As I mentioned earlier, none of those two options seem right to me.

So, one might ask, 'Tomboys and Femboys have been a part of anime for a long time, so what's the problem?'

I will discuss the 'Femboy' part later, but before that, I deliberately quoted the '10-year-old male/female protagonist' part for a reason. That also raises two subjects to discuss: First one - '10-year-old' and Second one - 'male/female protagonist.'

Regarding the '10-year-old' part, I have actually seen quite a lot of anime characters of that age or even younger with body proportions that do not match reality. So, Lloyd having a character design that definitely doesn't fit in the 'normal' category shouldn't have bothered me. But that is where that 'protagonist' factor comes into discussion. 'Have I witnessed a 10-year-old male protagonist with this type of character design in the past?' 'No, I haven't.'

The story of this anime mainly revolves around Lloyd, and he gets the majority of the screen time. So, there isn't any 'Turn your Brain off and Ignore' option here. You have to consistently watch a 10-year-old 'boy' with a very weird character design moving around for 20 minutes straight. The production staff didn't even attempt to tone it down. Lloyd's movement, his postures, expressions - they ensured none of them had any 'male' characteristics in them. So why this intentional move? There could be multiple reasons. But if the primary reason behind creating this type of character design is to attract a very niche type of audience or generate publicity by becoming a hot topic of discussion in forums and social media, then they have succeeded remarkably.

As for the 'femboy' or trap part and why they shouldn't become a more frequent type as far as the protagonist's character design is concerned, let's focus on an example: Imagine Totsuka (one of the most popular traps), maintaining his character design and equipped with Hachiman's personality involved in a love triangle with two beautiful girls and think if you could possibly tolerate the whole three seasons of 'Oregairu' that way..... I pretty much doubt that.

Music and Audio (7/10):

Lloyd is voiced by a female VA, and that's not an issue at all. In fact, a ten-year-old boy definitely shouldn't sound like a man. So there's not much to discuss about the voice acting. Others did a fine job as well.

Both the opening and ending songs were average. They neither sounded extraordinary nor had anything special in the visuals, in my opinion. And apparently, the ending song is about unrequited love.

Overall (5.5/10):

Could a change in character design possibly make this show great? Ummm... It's still a 'No' for me. But it could be better than those run-of-the-mill fantasy shows that we get every season and end up watching them anyway. Even if it weren't for the awkward character design, there are still much better shows airing this season. So I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone who watches a limited number of anime per season.

I'm always hesitant to give a rating on story for something that clearly has yet to finish it's arc, ... but what I will say is that while simple the premise is extremely captivating and never once lost my interest despite the show being, and I quote from other's I've heard, "side quests: the anime". The pacing was masterful as far as I'm concerned, any show that can keep me glued to the screen as effectively as Frieren did deserves praise

Quite possibly the most beautiful piece of media I've ever seen. I'm not sure if that's recency bias speaking, but as of now I truly do believe it. I've seen some very pretty shows and very well animated scenes, but Frieren takes it to a whole other level. I was genuinely moved to tears on several occasions just because of how visually stunning it was, and that's not even mentioning the godly battle animation (or even tiny details like the way clothes moved so fluidly)

I wouldn't describe the OST as anything less than gorgeous. I've heard the opinion tossed around that it is generic, bland even - I didn't feel that even once. Nostalgic, sure. Reminiscent of classic fantasy tales, absolutely. Something that would be playing in the background as I'd join my friends for a game of DnD, 100%. I don't think it's fair to call it generic when it's clearly intentionally part of the whole aesthetic of the show, but that's just my opinion

Himmel is my favourite male character of any show I've seen ever, and it's not even close. Frieren is a fantastic protagonist, and watching her journey of self discovery and growth is a wonderful experience and is written masterfully. I could go on and on and on about how much I love every single character, but that would very quickly devolve into heavy spoilers which I prefer to avoid. Point is, the character writing is incredible.

Add on top of that the fact that designs and VA performances are fantastic across the board and it should be pretty clear why it earns a confidant 10/10

The first show I've ever seen where there wasn't a single moment that I was bored or uninterested. Peak entertainment, I'm not really sure what else there is to add. It made me laugh, it made me swoon and fall in love with it's characters, it made me cry (like, a lot), it made my jaw drop to the floor on several occasions. I'll say it again - Peak entertainment.

Not a lot to say really, I enjoyed it on the second watch albeit less than the first but that's expected. Give it another watch future me if you feel like crying or just being cosy with nostalgia
